Allegedly, the plan is to move Jackson from CB to safety right now. I could see them giving Pickett a look there purely just to get him on the field if we land the tech CB

Where are you hearing this from ? According to shea Dixon the expectation is he plays boundary corner not safety

Zero chance Pickett is playing safety. Kelly called him the best corner in the country during the signing day presser he is playing boundary corner

Grant deplit was a great safety. He is 6'3

Ok? Dj pickett had ridiculous agility and fluidity for his size he moves like someone who’s 5’10 instead of 6’4. Tariq woolen and sauce Gardner are both top 10 corners in the nfl. They are both 6’3 6’4. Both those guys have great fludiity to go along with their size jus like Pickett has

How many WRs will we have in the roster? I guess with CJ and Sampson gone we’re back to even with Barion and Anderson

Everyone forgets DT Jordan Jefferson. The kid came here and played himself into being a 4th round draft pick.

Grant was also a great high school safety. He was a high grade safety when he enrolled.
Pickett is the #1 high school CB, Kelly and Baker aren’t going to do some science project safety experiment.

Is it too late to get his brother? I'm sure he could get out of his NLI.

Gators Online spoke Thursday with Pyburn’s camp, which made it clear that his move was not over the money and more about getting assurances on increasing his overall snap count as well as his usage in third-down situations.

Pyburn took over as the starting outside

Matt MO is high on Moore to come in and take over center. I think we could use a solid o tackle then the line is complete. Qb good with good backup. RB is deep. A blocking TE would be nice. Maybe 1 more WR. Offense looks to be much of the same as last season, maybe even better. Defense still needs help everywhere.

So far, Gilbert, Spears and Toviano are still around at Safety. Joel Rogers was a decently ranked recruit there as well and evidently got into the Arkansas game. Johnson may be moved back to there, as well. He has the athletic profile of a real difference maker. He just isn’t familiar with this position. Then you have Thomas and Jimcoli (maybe more of a Star than FS or SS) incoming.

We’ll see how it all shakes out. We need these younger guys to step up and provide depth for next season behind whoever is brought in.

The 23 portal class ended up being pretty damn good once we got a real DC. Swinson and Shand were seen as disappointments and both were great this season.

Swinson wasn't seen as a disappointment. I always said he was balling in 2023.
