Pratt did not just go to LSU, change his mind on the spot, then go to Stillwater a couple of days later. He had to have been thinking about Stillwater.

Sounds like this could be right
Then why make the trip at all? If I wanted to play elsewhere i wouldnt have traveled over 500 miles if i knew i wasnt staying..makes no sense.

I wouldn't doubt his HS coach helped OSU out, but I highly doubt the other Fedora got involved. He'd having nothing to gain from it

FWIW his myspace page is still LSU theme. However mood = betrayed. I wonder who he thinks betrayed him??? Is it up to LSU to make sure he was clear or is that on the HS level and was up to his moron coach.

this is my guess of what went down piecing together all the alleged information:

dex was all set to enroll in LSU, ready for some SEC ball, but when to got here, there was a problem getting him through the clearing house. there seems to be a correspondence class in doubt, nd that could be the bubble class it takes to get into the SEC over big12 (the conferences DO NOT have identical requirements-- i believe you need 3 sciences for SEC ball, 2 in the bi12, along with other minor differences im not aware of)

anyways, someone from LSU- a coach probably- dropped the ball and didnt check to make sure this class would be approved by the clearing house. he shows up, theres a problem with his class, hes pissed he graduated early, yet lacks the requirements to get in. hes embarrassed how this all worked out, feels someone else dropped the ball, leaves LSU with his coach.

now, he wants to jump into bed with okie st, probably b/c he doesnt need that extra class and can possibly get in right away. he gets in now, he doesnt have to do more coursework to get into LSU, probably not the exact way he drew it up, but hes rolling with the punches

forgive me if after being committed for over 7 months i dont buy the "not comfortable" excuse. and the distance factor doesnt hold water if hes going to play even further away somewhere else. i think this is an academic situation gone wrong and is easier fixed at okie st, than LSU. good luck, dex

If it's up to the high school to get things into the Clearinghouse, couldn't they have screwed the pooch on purpose? To try and make LSU look bad and get him to go elsewhere?

I think it was grades. Do ranters know that The Big 12 conference has lower grade standards than the other BCS confereces? Did everyone see the BCS championship game that 6ft 8in 355 lbs. OT of OKL that committed to LSU,he didn't have the grades and 10 days latter was ENROLLED at OKL?

I think there might be more to it than that. I dont think the "betrayed" shite fits that story well enough. I think it might be a combination of that and perhaps when the coaching staff indicated that, without going through spring ball, he might not have as good of a shot at rb playing time, he gets pissed and leaves. Doesnt seem like the most mature of people, i mean he got his name tatted on his back. But then again, its understandable for an 18 yr old to be emotional if you just worked your arse of for a semester to be able to go to school early and get a head start on the competition, only to find out you might not even get a shot to start.

this is another reason that makes my story more legit. he wouldnt have gone all the way over there, all his shite with him, if he wasnt comfortable and ready to enroll. if it was strictly a comfort thing, he wouldnt be pissed right now. if it was only comfort, he would have picked up the phone and told miles and he was having second thoughts and reopening the recruiting process. hard to imagine that academics arent the leading factor in this entire situation
