Again, nobody has a problem with him switching, we have a problem with the deception used to screw over LSU. Now how can you possibly defend that?
Exactly.
It's the manner of the way this was handled.
If he wanted to switch, that's fine. But at least be upfront and honest about it.

FWIW Stout. I'm with you 100 percent on this one.
Some of the stuff written about Jackson on this board is quite distasteful.
But, the damn double-standard will never go away.
Miles can piss all over a recruit, it's a "justified" decision. Yet, when Jackson renegs on his commitment, he's the anti-Christ.

He stated after he signed today that he knew he was going to Tennessee ever since he took his visit there.
Maybe it is hyperbole on his part? Who knows really? You or I don't.

Yet he and his father continued to tell the LSU coaches and the media that he was solid to LSU.
Follow me here but maybe he was still back and forward about the choice and didn't truly know until this morning? Might be why he delayed yesterday cause he needed one more day to think on it? Again, no one knows what went down.

Fan is short for fanatic. To think that some fans will not remember this kid would be naive . This is the same shite that happens with other fans accross the SEC. Only in Louisiana it is even worse because football is not a sport....it is a religion. So yes we have crazy fans out there who will hold the grudge....and yes I think our football program is better because of them.

...and yes some of them take shite too far and make Louisiana look like the a-hole of the south. Those same fans that you think help us I think can hurt us too.

Ok so now we can't even use direct quotes from recruits as evidence? You're reaching.

Then why, on February 1, did he give an interview saying he was still solid to LSU? I'll tell you why...because he's a liar. You cannot be 'solid' to a school, and then 3 days later, during a dead period where coaches can't contact you, have a change of heart.
You're trying to defend him by saying, hey maybe he was just lying some more.

Why would it hurt us??? They don't start it up until we get spurned. By then the player has already made the decision.

You can't? 3 days? I do a lot of shite in 72 hours and I promise you when I am facing a life desicion I may change my mind 100 times.

Bottom line is that we should be classier than to wish physical harm on somebody because they chose another school over us. Yes, it seems like he was dishonest about the decision...but life goes on.
Wishing ill-will on somebody doesn't change the fact that they're not coming here. Accept adversity with dignity...don't make an A-hole of yourself. (Not you personally, just the wing nuts on here acting like JJ killed their mom).

You're right. We don't have to worry about recruiting next year or anything. I mean I am sure some potential 2010 recruits and their parents love to see how people here wished harm on JJ and his dad today.

Exactly and everyone saying JJ lied I guess has never told a lie out of convenience or to better their situation.
FWIW I still don't see how JJ really flat out lied.

agreed. in today's recruiting landscape, you KNOW parents, friends, or even the recruits themselves read these boards and follow the information shared here.
Hell, how many high school kids do you think are sitting in their library/computer labs reading this stuff right now? plenty.
