Go look and see when I started this thread before you say anything and it just happened yesterday, dumbshit.

I'm not going to attack your post count because that's been done ad nauseum, but the fact that a grown man who spends as much time on an internet message board as you do, has to get the admins to ban him so he can stay away from it for 2 weeks (unsuccessfully), and carries out an efeud with a cripple with the mental capacity of a 13 year old, instead of just blowing it off like most adult human beings would do....the fact that THAT guy wants to then start a thread calling anybody else sad and pathetic is just laughable to me.

lol...I am sure you have a hobby or way to pass time that I would laugh at too. TD is mine so don't be so judgemental. You might play video games all the time. Same thing. It is simply a way to pass time for me.

Also, if you truly don't see how sad it is to wish harm on a 18 year old kid and his dad cause they made a life desicion than I don't know what to tell you. I know it may all be said in jest on a MB but it is still classless and pathetic.

If LSU wanted to use that extra schollie, maybe they could have yanked DB's much earlier instead of waiting 9 hours before NSD and right after RR's Dad gave the ultimatium

Maybe our staff didn't have knowledge of DB's alleged commitment until Tuesday evening.

If you wanna believe all of that PR, then so be it.

If the alternative is to believe unsubstantiated theory which puts the most negative anti-LSU spin on situation, as you do, I'll take the word of the Auburn people on this one. Miles has always seemed to be an homorable man to me, and I don't think he sell out principles for one player, even if it was Rueben Randle. I don't think he would have pulled a scholarship offer from a truly commited high school senior recruit(like a Kenny Bell, for instance). And he didn't.

You seem unable or unwilling to accept the fact that DB broke his commitments to LSU several times over the past 2 years. He repeatedly failed to do what was necessary to get academically qualified (despite LSU's investment of scholarships 2 years in a row) and then rewarded LSU by visiting Auburn. Whether he had actually commited to Auburn three weeks ago or not, the mere possibility that he could renege on his LSU commitment after everything LSU did for him was enough, in my mind, to justify Miles' decision to cut him loose, particularly if the alternative was to risk getting neither him nor Randle.

Jantzen Jackson's betrayal of LSU was not, as you have suggested, Karma. It was in fact a stark example of what DB was or may have been preparing to do to LSU. In any event, Miles acted in time to not only protect LSU's interest, but still give DB the opportunity he probably doesn't deserve to play major college football at a good SEC program. JJ's underhanded and cowardly betrayal of LSU after NSD was over left LSU out in the cold with nowhere to go to replace him with another quality recruit. NO COMPARISON WHATSOEVER.

Wish harm on the kid? Sure that's pretty pathetic, but what does it really hurt? Like I pointed out to Ice Cold, as far as I know there aren't any magicians or warlocks (outside of the gaming board) on here that can cast a torn ACL spell on him. It just makes the poster look bad.

But what exactly is wrong about calling out an 18 year old adult that's old enough to buy cigarettes, join the military, or go to jail if he commits a crime, when he purposely deceives a university I hold near and dear to my heart?

I wouldn't care if he decommitted when he realized he wasn't going to LSU, but the fact that he waited until AFTER NSD, AFTER another highly touted DB LSU was after signed with another school, to announce his intentions is just chicken shite. I don't think people should burn down his house, but I also don't see anything wrong with letting him know what a chicken shite move it was.

They don't want to hear that. They want what makes LSU/Miles look the worst. BTW, best first post ever.

It makes LSU look like jackasses. Sorry if you fail to see that.

And the school that poster reps especially when there are 100s of threads bu LSU fans saying the same thing over and over.

Do you not truly not see? Also, the whole deceiving LSU is speculation on your part. You or I have no idea what TRULY went down.

I understand to some point but again I can't blame him. He may have had reasons we will never know to wait. Again, it's all speculation.

Saying you disagree with it and people saying they hope he gets hurt are two different things. There is a fine line in being a fan and being an idiot. We saw the latter come through yesterday in many people.

Thanks. Just what a 54 year old virgin needs to hear!

By the way, everone making excuses for JJ because he's "just a kid" needs to remember that Russell Shepard is about the same age. Look how he has handled himself. 17-18 years old is old enough to have developed a basic sense of decency and an understanding of the need to consider how your actions impact on other people. In short, to know right from wrong. It doesn't just come upon you when you turn 18 or 21.

The only thing I don't really know about JJ's situation is how much of it was him and how much of it was orchestrated by his father. It is harder to blame him if he simply did what dad told him to do. How many of us could have told our dads to shove it at that age?

I find myself falling more towards the negative side of this argument when it comes to this situation. There just isn't much logical conclusion to back the actions taken Janzen. Especially following the timelines of interviews and actions taken. However, anybody praying for the decapitation or injury of a player is ultimately, pathetic. I think TxTiger is pointing the argument in a practical approach. A controlled dissapointment. Some of these yahoos are just going nuts.
