Oh Really?

"On Wednesday, three players previously committed to the Crimson Tide -- five-star linebacker Quay Walker, defensive tackle Bobby Brown and linebacker/athlete Vernon Jackson -- ended up elsewhere."

If that was the case he probably wouldn't have lost a 5-star LB, 4-star DT and a 4-star SDE/LB on signing day.

How about we not belittle the recruiting prowess of Nick Saban going forward. Let's just stick to rational discussion on the recruiting board.

Which is what exactly?

Saying Saban is going to get every player he wants? He lost a 5-star and two 4-stars on signing day three months ago. That kinda makes the post I was responding to the "irrational" discussion.

I also question who the great recruiter at Bama has been. Was it Nick or Kirby Smart? Kirby is out-recruiting the hell out of Nick right now and is the coach who took the 5-star from him on signing day.

No Kirby and all of a sudden Bama finishes outside the top 5. It seems every year Bama finished with the number 1 class and now they are outside the top 5.

Hyperbole. Look it up.

So, because Nick Saban failed to secure the best recruiting class in the country for the first time in 8 years he was obviously overrated. Got it.

Good talk Ree.

I think we sign all but devonta lee and Christian Harris. Very nice haul and a great finish to this class.

Didn't say that. I pointed out that the whole time that Kirby was at Alabama they had unbelievable classes. Now Kirby is at Georgia and UGA and had freaking insane classes and Bama all of a sudden doesn't.

Any time !!! That's pretty much why I come to this LSU message board.

Alabama's class last year was no better or worse than they have been. Only difference is they took 20 instead of their usual 25+. Let's also not act like UGA hasn't been one of the best schools in the country for recruiting, well, pretty much forever.

I know rational thinking isn't really your thing, but this is a stretch, even for you.

Georgia had the #1 class this year. They already have three 5-stars committed for the upcoming class. They weren't that good in the past.

You may be right. It is too early to tell if there is a trend and that is why I said that I question if it was Nick or Kirby. I didn't say for sure that it is and only time will tell. But the last class and the current one makes me wonder.

Kirby is doing a great job. You can say that without belittling the guy who has dominated on the field and on the recruiting trail for the last decade.

You're making this conclusion off of one class basically, because in '16-'17, Kirby's first year in UGA, Bama had the #1 class.

How is pointing out that he lost a 5-star and two 4-stars belittling? Maybe you are such a huge fan of Nick that is seems that way. It is a fact that Alabama lost three players who were four stars or higher that were committed to them in this year's class.

If that is belittling your GOD, I am sorry. Sometimes the truth hurts.

I'm not going to dignify this with a response. You can keep petty bullshite like this on the Tiger Rant.

Where did you get conclusion from? Why can't people read and comprehend simple words on this website???

It is two classes. The class that was signed 3 months ago and the current class in which Georgia already has THREE 5-stars committed.

Sorry to see that Miserablefrickitous has crept its ugly head over to the recruiting board. That's unfortunate.

I think we close 8 of the 10, and I still have Sopsher as a "likely, but not certain" - but then again, I was 95% certain on Surtain, so take my opinion with a fricking huge grain of salt...

Rational thinking would make it obvious to a person that Nick did not sign 20 players on purpose. He wanted to sign 23 players.

But, he lost a 5-star and two 4-star recruits on signing day.

How is that for rational thinking? Did I miss anything?

Don't agree with that. Must get is Stingley. He is the #1 CB in the nation and a priority considering the lack of numbers at corner. Sopsher would be a huge get and we need him too. But we need some corners and Stingley is the best

All of these are top priority recruits. A lot of time to signing day
