Really strange. After watching his special on youtube he doesn't seem like the type to just up and quit. I have to think this has something to do with his family issues or homesickness.

He’s headed for Penn State in all likelihood.

Does he get to keep the Charger?

Bama fans said he was a head case many weeks ago on the SECRant
This Kid is not a head case. He is simply putting family before athletics. I applaud him for it

Saban disagrees with you. I’ll take his word over some lame dick on a TD message board

Putting family before athletics is great and all, but this kid left school and totally ghosted his coaches.

Pretty sure he has a documented history of character issues and changing schools a lot because of it.
Regardless, he was the most impressive player to me at the UA game. Absolute monster. I was so pissed he was going to be terrorizing us for 3 years so I'm happy he's out of the SEC.
ETA:
He went to 3 different high schools and Saban said this earlier this year about him not being on the depth chart:
quote:
“He’s going through some discipline things with me,” Saban said. “If he does what he’s supposed to do -- I’m not going to tell you what. But whether it’s academic, which that has something to do with it, and being responsible and accountable to do what he’s supposed to do like every other player on our team. So, we want to get him right, we want to help him, we want to help him do the right things. But he’s got to make those choices and decisions, too.”

Thanks for your candid description of someone you don't know. A--H--e

He’s a quitter. All the talent in the world and no desire or drive. Not someone we want on this team

He should have thought of family before committing to a school so far away!

Nothing wrong with kicking the tires. If after talking to him you think he's a POS, move on.
For all we know, he could just really hate Saban and want out.

it would be hilarious if he ended up at Univ of Washington after what went down with Kaho

Again, if you count Alabama, he will soon be on his 5th football team in 5 years.

Yeah at some point you gotta stop blaming the teams and take a hard look at the player. Hopefully he can turn it around or get the help he needs.

I'm not disagreeing with you.
But, do we know the reasons? Did his family move any of those times? Did he transfer to a better academic school any of those times? My point is, none of us know the real reasons why. So again, nothing wrong with investigating to find out the real story before deciding to pass. If he's revealed to be a POS, nothing was lost but a few phone conversations.

Most bama fans are head cases so their opinion is irrelevant.
