Well that dude clearly is trying to fabricate stuff so that he can hold onto something in his delusional mind.

I wonder where these guys are at, because all Aggies I have come in contact with while living here seem to be pretty level headed in regards to expectations and the state of their program.

Granted I will give them that there is no excuse for them not competing year in and year out for the Big 12 South. They have the resources and a nice recruiting base.

Talking to my buddy last week from 'bama he apparently the SEC couldn't be happier about our recruiting. Taking a little of the carpet out from under LSU should open up the SEC west.

With A&M picking up Nelson, and with the best case scenario of Nelson and Patterson sticking with their verbals all the way to signing day. If A&M is continuing or will now pick up it's recruitment of Mike Davis who is also a Skyline player and he will now have 2 charismatic teammates in his ear that are pro A&M. Mike Davis originally wanted to go to tu, so maybe he would like to stay in state, add to that, Mike Sherman's NFL friendly pro-style offense, and Lies Miles propensity to screw the pooch sometimes in recruiting (Dexter Pratt).

Let them think the rug is being yanked from under LSU. Honestly if LSU does not want a Louisiana recruit I would rather him go to the Big 12 than another SEC school.

Davis did what he does best yesterday at his Nike 7-on-7 competition:
quote:

LSU commit Mike Davis caught 9 passes for 161 yards and two touchdowns for Zoom Fly.

That is a 17.8 yard average per catch. Mike just makes big plays.

I currently go to A&M as a Chemical Engineering major, but I actually agree with you. I grew up a fan of SEC football and Big 12 football doesn't compare. The truth is, most A&M fans flat out don't care enough about football right now to post on message boards. The ones that do, are the super-delusional ones.

Check out the last reply in that Mike Davis thread. At least some aggies have a little bit of sense....

Why did we let the next Pervin Harvin get away and only offer him as a DB?

quote:

Fobbs is a wide receiver, period. But, think of him as one guy said, as a Percy Harvin type of talent. Watch for him running the end around, or reverses from the slot, or even from a "slash" position in the backfield, occasionally.

We HAVE running backs. We need gamebreaking WR's, and he is going to fill that role.

Honestly, I have always been a little concerned about Davis staying solid to LSU over the whole process because he expressed some doubt about his commitment early on.

However, it seems like the A&M fans thinking they will land him are a) Speculating on nothing but the Nelson commitment and b) Extremely overconfident because they got a guy from LA that had some token interest from LSU.

Davis's recent comment about the LSU receivers sounds good as well.

You seriously think Fobbs is the next Harvin? Or was that a joke? I can't tell.

If Davis didn't want to go to OU, why would he want to go to A&M? He has a teammate committed to OU as well.

He seems to be a guy who wants to play bigtime football at the highest level. I'm not too worried about him.

This happens every year with almost every program. A lot of these kids still shop after their committment. There are reasons out there why Davis COULD become an Aggie. It's not that far fetched that he would want to come with teammates he's close with. Apparently he likes the coaches from A&M that have been recruiting him. However, the Tigers should be in good shape with him. Obviously LSU has been a better program for a while and A&M's scholarship numbers are going to play a factor. We're still in on a number of good players at need positions so spots shouldn't stay open long.

Yeah the whole TxTiger thing isn't terribly original, is it?

I am thinking about a change...although people do know me on here and I've been using this name since 2004.

Ah well....I'm tired of being mistaken for the Ron Paul/Alex Jones kook over on the poliboard.

Anyways....just remember TxTiger with no number = Ron Paul kook, TxTiger25 = recruiting poster, and TxTiger82 = all around badass. j/k, of course.
