students its tough to get in without 26-28 or so

That is wrong.

A 3.0 and a 22 is automatic admission into LSU I believe.

Depends on your GPA....the higher GPA you have the lower your ACT score has to be.......You've got to have a low arse GPA to have to make a 28.

If you're GPA is low enough that you have to make a 28 then you're prolly too stupid/dont try.

How is it possible for guys that are juniors and seniors to make a 15?
Because either there school is so terrible (see N.O. public schools) or they were babied all the way through school and didn't learn anything.

I don't understand how they can score so low. I made a 21 in 7th grade.

Your plaque is in the mail.

Well lets see, if you had every major collegiate football program beating your door down, and visions of multi-$M contacts in your future, would you study harder, or lift more?

i don't know what it officially is, but i had a low GPA 4 years ago when i applied (2.5) but i got a 27 on my ACT and they made me take a summer course going into my freshmen year to get in. Personally i think the ACT should mean more than the GPA....

If your GPA is low then there is almost no chance you will suddenly do well on the ACT.

I know people that have cheated on the ACT and gotten someone else to take the exam for them (or copied someone that was sitting next to them), but even that is fairly rare.

I completely disagree.

I know plenty of people that do well on the ACT, but are poor students in the classroom. If I were running a college, I would much rather students that study and participate in class and receive a good GPA in reward rather than students that score well on a standardized test and then don't care in the classroom.

Thats also a pretty good way to never get into any college.

But some schools are such a joke, a monkey could get a 3.0.

I'm reminded of the girl a few years ago (before Katrina, I think) who was going to be the valedictorian at Fortier in NO, but she couldn't pass the GEE (exit exam).

Nah, it's on my dad's wall along with my degrees.

In 7th grade? The point I was trying to make is if kids that have never even taken classes on half of the material on the ACT can qualify, how is it possible for these kids to score so low.

ETA: If they did score that low, how the hell do they stay eligible in college without a lot of cheating?
