Do we really want the kid if his heart is truly set on somewhere else?
Don’t get me wrong he’s an absurdly talented player and I really want to see him in Purple and Gold but I want him to be completely bought in and committed. Not full of resentment for a decision made for him a thousand miles away from the person who forced him to go.
He also deserves the chance to make his own decision.

I don’t remember this kind of craziness with Tua.
And sure maybe he signs with us, gets on campus and realize mom was right.
I’m not saying don’t take him but if the whole “mom won’t sign off unless he decides on the school she wants” is pretty bullshite for the kid that could lead to a whole shite ton of resentment manifesting itself in any number of ways.
It’s a risk is all I’m saying
