King is a lot better than y’all are giving him credit for. I suggest some go back and watch some full games of his. He has the NCAA record for most consecutive games with a passing and rushing TD in a game. He needs to improve some as a passer but he has a strong arm and makes some “wow” throws. Plus having a guy with 4.5 speed playing QB in this offense would be incredible. He completed 64% of his passes as a junior and threw for 36 TD’s to only 6 INT’s. While rushing for another 14 TD’s.
Yeah, I really don't understand the constant hate or people saying he can't pass. His does make some wow throws and his running is absolutely elite. His Junior film is highly impressive. I understand he wasn't that great in limited games this season though, so that does concern me.
This season is the thing giving me doubts.

Just my opinion, but I want nothing to do with even flirting with King.
I think he is overrated and also believe Brennan will be fine once it’s his turn.
King just isnt a fit for our offense at all, not a natural passer and can't throw it around like we want. Good athlete but he'd be better served to move to RB or WR his last season to build NFL stock.
Plus we have no room to take a grad transfer for multiple reasons already stated. Alexander and if we sign 25 which we definitely will looks like, we have no room for any transfer.

LSU has 4 blue chip receivers committed and the highest recruited TE ever. The offense needs to revolve around a guy that can sit back and sling it and much more accurate than King. We really need to stay the course and let Brennan shine next year.

Sorry Vol that wasn't for you, the other poster saying king was coming.

Brennan iwill be our guy. Has a golden arm for this offense

There is a 0% chance he goes to a program like Tulane
There is 0% chance he starts at lsu, uga, or fsu next year.

D'Eriq King is an inaccurate athlete playing QB and is not better than anything we have.
How is completing 64% of your passes inaccurate?

I’m about to hurt some feelings in here but there’s no frickin way he can come in and command this offense, none

Living in Houston I have seen lots of his play. Great runner, horrible passer. If he quit on his team why would anyone want him?
Posted on 11/14/19 at 8:47 pm to foamperson
Because a large portion of LSUs base doesn’t understand what it takes to be a successful QB in this league, especially running this offense
Posted on 11/14/19 at 8:48 pm to LSUTigers778
You are insane. He's a horrible passer. Great runner. Go look at his games. HE QUIT ON HIS TEAM. HE IS A LOSER, CANCER, PLAGUE, WHATEVER.

living in Houston; I have watched him a ton. He can't hold a candle to Brennan passing. Running, I agree probably the best in the country. Remember Mr. Jackson who we totally contained in the bowl game. If you can't pass; you will never beat Bama being one dimensional. With the weapons we have and coming this guy would be horrible for us. PLUS HE'S A QUITTER, CANCER, PLAGUE.....Coach O has built a family and he would destroy it!

Maybe, but that’s after being in a system for more than a season.
I don’t know about anyone else, but I’m not interested in a QB that will be at LSU for one year and put up average to just a bit above average stats because he wasn’t in the system long enough. How many time have we seen a graduate QB come in and be on campus to learn just the basics of a system and turn out to be not so spectacular?

The daily circle jerk on this site for D'Eriq King is concerning.
All the best to the kid, but it would serve nobody's best interest for him to come here.
He needs to stay at Houston (as his coach has advised him--and the other seniors who redshirted--to do), and ball out next year.
This obsession needs to be anchored. Dude isn't even in the transfer portal.

Not really sure where it’s stemming from but it needs to stop because he’s not a fit

I like the kid Brennan but he has had very few sustained drives when he has played and his touch and ball placement needs work. Too many passes seem like he’s trying to throw it through the receiver instead of to the receiver. His tendency to bail out of the pocket and lose sight of the receiver instead of moving up or laterally also needs work

He plays with backups. Freshmen and sophomores.
Until Brennan plays with the 1s and completely bombs, I don’t buy the narrative on this board that he’s not good enough to start
