What does it matter where we pull the top player from ? Bama wanted Kie, Bama wanted PP, Bama wanted Tolliver, Bama wanted Randle. Get over the 'Bama inferiority complex. We have won 9 of the last 12 meetings against them.

I just think between Auburn and Alabama it would be hard to pull the rare five stars from the state.

Does not have too...The state has half the amount of NFL players as LSU and has two big schools, and also UGA, FSU, and UF next door. Kind of a waste of resources to go there.

A one year glance isn't going to paint a very accurate picture.
FSU has 3 of the top 5 guys in Alabama. It doesn't mean that Jimbo Fisher is going to be the King of Birmingham or anything.
LSU will continue to win 70-80 percent of in-state recruiting battles, but there will always be a few kids, who despite their best self-interest and common sense, will go elsewhere (not really referring to Devall in this instance).
It sucks, but if LSU gets guys like Gunner Kiel and two of the big names who are still uncommitted, then this class will be great, and I have no doubt about the next few years.

...because we are ranked #1. Recruiting is important only as it affects the actual program. And, we are #1.
Losing Collins, while not preferable will not affect this program overall. It will be the guys we sign...not the guys we don't sign that determine the future of the program. And, the program at this moment is the strongest it has EVER been.
In short, you are overreacting. Even if you can't see it now, you will feel embarrassed once things settle down.

Yes, we lost 2 guys in stare. After all the great recruiting Miles has done, are you saying they all of a sudden didn't do a good job with these guys?

Really? Are you saying that it won't happen again or that it's never happened and will continue that way?
Some of you people are pathetic. Just because you love LSU, it doesn't mean that every kid that plays football in this state has to also. Every School in the country will lose big recruits to out of state schools, including Bama. Nothing is going to change that so you might as well deal with it and get over it.

Bama now has 26. Will they shoot for 30 again? I remember when Gunner committed, it took about 5 days to get an update from rivals. They couldn't wait to push the gumps up to the top.
