Check out this kid that lives on the street behind me
quote:
All I know is I did not speed up the video. I just used my digital camera to video just the highlights of Lache from the team highlight video. I do not know who put the highlight video together for the team. I can't see why they would speed up the video unless there was a time constrant. This video was never made as a recruiting video for Lache. I have always appreciated the rantards passing on news to me from pay for information sites. All I was trying to do was return the favor to my fellow rantards before Rivals or Scout has them. Does it really matter if the video is faster or slower? As stated before you can see that he is faster, has good vision, and toughness. His speed is highly documented so there is no need to trick anyone. I know that getting flammed is always a possibility when posting on TD, but arguing about film speed when everybody knows this does not give the runner an advantage over the defenders is ridiculous. Unless you are like me and your are not happy unless you are mad or angry about something. Thanks for watching the video and have a good day knowing that maybe a top out of state football player wants to go to LSU

Sucks he didn't get to play this year for Baylor. Baylor could have been even better last year

He had to sit out this past year because of transfer rules.

I still like my first response in the Dexter Blackmon commits thread:
along with some trying to explain (seriously) how there are no video recorders or internet connections in Selma.
Apparently, Dexter recently became part of Gus Malzahn's first recruiting class at Arkansas State, choosing them over Toledo State.
I still think Les had him confused with another guy when he offered him.

Loved reading these old posts - they're good for fans who hit the panic button after NSD in February and continue the fret over the summer. Goes to show most don't know who will pan out, so that's always comforting to me when I come away bummed because we had 5* commits go elsewhere.
Thanks for posting and giving us all the dose of reality needed. Particularly loved the Mo Claiborne thread.

newly elected RATT squad president the Egg was hilarious in that Blackmon thread. I think i even mentioned it in that thread: there were no cameras in little backwoods Selma for Dexter yet somehow every school in America offered Ben Obomanu out of Selma like 5 years earlier.

I remember in college, pre-recruiting board, when we would post pictures onto The Rant of double-digit prospects and see who the first person to correctly identify everyone was.
Solid times.

Meh
I didn't really read anyone dogging on Claiborne. Most of the intensified discussion revolved around whether or not we needed yet another CB in a class that had very tight numbers and plenty of big names still in play. Moreover, Claiborne was an athletic specimen but undoubtedly a project coming out of HS. It was a legitimate discussion, IMO.
Of course, there were a couple of really dumb posts...by posters who don't normally post on the RB (Tulane guy stands out) but there will always be "that guy" or two and they were responded to well.
