We actually have nine more rides (3 early enrollees) to give

They're doing one helluva job managing the available schollies. Very, very, impressive considering the restrictions SC is dealing with.

The same could be said about what QB would want to play under a Les Miles offense the past 6 years.

ETA: Why don't you just start a Les Miles/LSU bashing thread instead of making these ridiculous comparisons in order to get your clever zingers in?

Posters just can't help themselves on this board no matter how many times we ask them to take that shite to the rant.
To the OP, thanks for the update. Great news.

Wow! Thanks for the update. Great to hear that he's living up to the hype! Hope we can hang on to this young man if he does start getting a lot more attention!

Because he made a point about competition at USC and I was countering his point by saying LSU hasn't had much competition because our offense has been stagnant from a QB perspective. Not that hard to understand.

Everyone understands it. We're just sick of hearing about it on this board for every quarterback related thread.

what QB would want to play under a Les Miles offense = LSU hasn't had much competition because our offense has been stagnant from a QB perspective
Yea, that's what you meant. Those two mean exactly the same thing.

That's no excuse
You are a fricking idiot. We scored at will but gave up 3tds in 3 drives versus Cathedral a team with vastly inferior athletes.. We had a coaches meeting afterwards you fricking clown.
Eta if you are joking sorry man. I have Hayden Rettig #11 on my brain. Just frustrated man

How dare you have a life you creep

Of course it was a joke...

That's exactly what it meant...
We haven't been getting much competition at QB because we haven't recruited well. A lot of that can be attributed to Les Miles stagnant offense. And before you say it's not his offense, you know it's at least partially his. Anybody who says he doesn't have a hand in this offense is ignorant. We need to get back to our 06-07 form. Hopefully Rivers/Randle turn out to be good QBs. We need them to develop or we're in QB trouble again if Mett leaves early this year.
I'm just countering his point on competition as opposed to very little competition here. We have a reason for that. Don't take it so personal...
QB woes have been a problem for LSU awhile now and everybody knows the reason.

I'm confused. You changed what I stated when you "quoted" me and then you made other jumps that I don't understand.
I would rather hear about Rettig and Jennigs without every poster discussing JJ and Lee.

Les Miles is a very loving and trusting man. I have no doubt in my mind that he will learn to trust Rettig and Jennings with the entire playbook the same way he trusted Russell and Flynn(and even Lee before he threw 16 ints with 7 pick sixes) when they were running the offense. No worries.

I'm not taking it personally. I just don't see why every thread has to segway into this discussion. We get it. We really do. We follow recruiting and we understand what happened with Zach Lee and Kiel. We all were there to follow it.
But we have Mett, we have two other guys lined up that seem to be very good college prospects, and I would just like to direct discussion in that direction. This other stuff constantly is better reserved for the rant.

Ah yes, the secret playbook. I've heard of this playbook.

Oh its easy to understand, it also stupid and nonsensical.

You need to learn the difference betwen the chicken and the egg. Miles stagnant offense was due to the fact that JJ and JL were not very good. JL was able to provide some pretty good numbers against teams with no pass rush but still was mediocre (and yes still better that JJ for most cases). Go back and look at Flynn and Russell and I dont think I would classify that as stagnant.
If Mett lights up the field this year what will the CLM haters come up with to justify their complaints...

I totally agree. Have we had a large touch of bad luck with QBs, yes, it began with RP and then got followed up with Lee chosing baseball. 2 very good elite prospects. But I'm with you guys, that all this other stuff needs to be shipped to the rant
