Yep.
Even still, would you want to go play for some no-name QB in the worst state in the nation or work with a 5-Star QB with and amazing staff, and compete for a national championship?

Seems like Mississippi recruits are the hardest to pull.

They sure are devoted to their average in state SEC schools.

Saw something recently that mentioned Lebby is pushing HARD for him.

Going to be a tough pull but there’s so many talented guys Cortez is making inroads with on top of DK and TaRon.

I am assuming they're looking to take 3-5 this class based on what they're losing plus normal attrition?

They have all seemingly been brainwashed with the "Big-Fish-little-pond" mentality. It's almost like they've been aspirationally-raised to think that "going to State" is more of dream-come-true/accomplishment as opposed to going to an NFL factory (Bama, LSU, OSU, etc) where you are just another 5-star.

to be fair Louisiana kids are similar in that they want to play for LSU and are usually pretty hard to pull out of LA

I'll hold no grudge against a kid that wants to play for his local team as opposed to going elsewhere

Maybe because they know if they make it to the NFL, they won't be back to Mississippi and if they don't, they'll need those Mississippi connections to get a good job after college.

Yup - everything I’ve read is probably 4 but possibly 5. With DK and TaRon onboard, they’re going to be a little more choosy with the last couple spots but when you’ve got guys like Cunningham, Ffrench, Jacorey Watson, Marsh, etc all interested, that’s a realllly nice luxury.

I keep saying it, but if a 5-star recruit wants to maximize his NIL, even when he knows where he is planning to go, he should take a ton of different visits, show interests in everybody, put stuff out their that might give the impression that they are leaning to certain schools in alternating fashion, and draw things out as much as possible. Hard to do, but I’m convinced it is consistent with drawing on the extreme competitiveness/hatred between schools, the greed of the programs at the top, the desperation of the teams that can’t seem to get to the top(or close to it in A&Ms case), and the desire of people and programs to show off how much money they have got. The latter is why I have committed to sacrifice some of the luxuries I used to enjoy, and let it be known that I have $50 dollars every year thats just sitting around doing nothing.
