From a Geaux 247 article:

“Ole Miss just took a quarterback commitment from (Montgomery [Ala.] Bell Academy) Marcel Reed, but (Rashada) said they’re still all over him. He’s still highly intrigued by (Rebels head coach) Lane Kiffin and that offense. And he’s going to officially trip to Oregon,” Biggins said. “Loved his unofficial. Really likes (Ducks offensive coordinator) Kenny Dillingham over there. And then he was kind of blown away by that recent A&M offer, and they just offered two weeks ago. … Those are the next three official visits he’ll take, will be to LSU, Oregon, and A&M."

No comment necessary.

All he has to do is look at Jimbos draft track record the last 5 years for offensive players and he will change his mind. Unless you are a lineman, A&M is where offensive players go to die.

“I don’t want to speak for him, although I did speak to him, and it seemed like the schools with the most buzz right now — he loved his visit to LSU,” Biggins told fellow 247Sports national recruiting analyst and show host Blair Angulo. “I think they’ve got a real good chance. He talked about just they have a real good coach in Brian Kelly, but really, they have four different position coaches — quarterback-specific coaches — that are really about just dealing with the development. Four, Blair — that’s quite a bit, right? Most schools just have one. They have four guys.”

If it’s similar to last years offers, I’m guessing 200k to sign, 150k every year he’s on the roster.

Preseason Spiller was a top rb on the board. Wydermyer was the top TE on the board…..

They haven’t had a first round WR since Big Mike.

Money can’t buy production and development.

Looks the part but my concern is his 57.5% completion pct last year. Its been proven QB's that are inaccurate in HS don't usually become super accurate in college. I still prefer Moore he completed 72.5% of his throws last year.

Top 5 2022 QB's HS JR Year Comp PCT

1. Arch Manning 64.9%
2. Malachi Nelson 61.1%
3. Dante Moore 72.5%
4. Nicholaus Iamaleava 59.6%
5. Jaden Rashada 57.5%

HS Sr year Comp Pct for current a or recent LSU QB's

Joe Burrow 71.2
Myles Brennan 68.9%
Jayden Daniels 65.1%
Garrett Nussmeier 71.7
Walker Howard 65.8%
Max Johnson 38.2%
TJ Finley 47.4%

It translates!

Interesting take on the completion %, but he has changed high schools a lot recently. Maybe it's a lack of familiarity with new WRs...

Good question it appears this is the only HS he's been at
played as a backup as a Soph, and was a first year starter last year so maybe the comp % goes up. But its definitely something to watch I'd really like to see it get into the 65-70% range.

This is an excellent point. High completion percentage in high school I believe demonstrates that you have a high floor going into college in terms of passing accuracy. I know Manning, Burrow, Nussmeier and Max all came from QB or coaching pedigree and that obviously helped a lot, but it's just curious how it did not seem to help Max as much as the others. The point is, being born with accuracy seems to be a bigger factor than learning accuracy. Probably the 80/20 rule applies. You are born with 80% of your accuracy and can improve it by 20% with practice and hard work. High school is just more of a demonstration of your natural born talents.

I'd take him as a backup if we lose on primary targets. Don't really see how this guy is a 5*. I guess potential makes sense but you'd have work with him, imo.

I saw an article yesterday saying he will be in the running for the #1 overall player in the country. Definitely want.

College football recruiting: 5-star QB Jaden Rashada could end up as No. 1 overall recruit in Class of 2023

His athleticism looks pretty gifted to me but I like Dante more personally. You obviously take him if he wants to commit no questions asked. #1? I doubt that. Where did you read that?

He looks great athletically. Not sure I could see him as #1 recruit in the nation. Seems hard to imagine he'd be over guys like Manning who will be there just by name alone. I can't see him jumping that high over some of the guys higher than him. I can definitely see why Dante is rated higher than Rashada I think he's a better prospect, imo.

I guess they are maybe thinking he can have a big SR year and turn heads at Elite 11, but not to beat a dead horse that Completion PCT needs to come up 8-10% before he'd be in the #1 conversation for me.

This wont go over very well but if Arch's last name was Smith He would be #1 Walker was better in HS, and so is Holstein, but he got that name, but zero State FB championships.

Lol. The kid is good but a step below Manning, Moore, and Nico

Also he's all about NIL. Supposedly Ole Miss balked at the number figure he threw at them
Rumors are he wants $6 million

6 million? Whoever told you that’s a fricking idiot. Nobody is gonna go up to a school that recruits them and say I won’t come unless you have
a sponsorship worth 6 million and I want it paid up front.

Even for the whole career that’s not happening. These stories get wilder and more full of shite every time I read them
