burning some tape on Allen, definitely the prototypical Wade guard. Shoot first. Cam Thomas immediately comes to mind, with a more competitive temperament. Beautiful shot & release, good handles, plays below the rim for the most part. Bulldog, engaged, scrappy. Really like his attitude on the court.
He looks great for a sophomore, but i dont see a guy ready to re-classify and play a year early. Not quite as advanced as Justice Williams was, imo, who jumped a year up.

Might reclassify just to get in Wade’s system early?

Did he really? Any stats on them?

I don't see a full box score, but Marvel was the leading scorer with 22 points, 4 boards, 3 assists. Wagner had 12 points on 5/20. I just learned that Randy Livingston Jr. is Marvel's teammate as an 8th grader.

I know it’s only one game but my God. With the talent in that game and the way he dominated he may be underrated even being a top 20 recruit.

Bradshaw didn’t look to bad out there either. He’s thin but really athletic.

I see he’s visited LSU. Do we think we have a good shot at him?

I think we’re out in front for him right now.

Based on the way he dominated against the #1 2023 player and #2 ranked team in the country it looks like he’s possibly made a big jump from his sophomore to junior year. Can’t wait to see him in purple and gold.

Also, Marvel said he “loves to play defense” and that was a big part of coming to LSU. So Cam is already a bad comparison

The most important question is, how does his tape compare to Seneca knight’s?

What a clown.
You don't get to have an opinion after seneca knight.

Is the thought still that he may reclassify?

He is reclassifying, usually that stuff gets announced in the summer time. Has to have the coursework all come together.

I often disagree with Lester but Knight is contributing on a good basketball team currently. He would be in our rotation

Knight literally left because he realized how little he was going to play here. Now, we've had some injuries mount up but the guy is more a 3 or 4, not a guard anyways. He also hasn't done much at BYU. 7 points a game coming off the bench (<40% from floor), but we're also talking a step down from what he would have been playing with here and who he would be playing against. Seneca is ewxactly who a lot of us thought he was, which was a volume guy on a bad mid-major squad. He's not really a player (more just a role guy at best) on the major conference level and on the better mid-major level is a bench guy who averaged 7ppg at less than a 40% clip.
A LOT of guys would be "contributors" on our team with Miller, Pinson, Days all out

Kinight in 6 WCC games has been much better
10ppg
47% FG
43% 3pt
He got in late & had to adjust some, but he is finding his footing & developing a role

Against Pacific, San Diego and Portland he's averaging 13 points on 13 for 22 on the floor and 8 for 14 from 3. He also grabbed 12 boards those games.
Against Saint Mary's, Gonzaga and San Francisco he is averaging 7 points on 6 for 18 on the floor and 2 for 8 from 3. He grabbed 6 boards those games.
Pacific, San Diego and Portland are pretty well, not good teams. SM, Gonzaga and San Francisco are good teams.
I'm glad he's doing a little better for you against some bad teams, but I dont see anything notable there.
