@lsufanva: You come off as a hater every time you speak on Houston. Literally, every comment that you make is fueled in some sort of negativity. None of the QBs being discussed has seen anything remotely close to an SEC defense. I don't know if any of the qbs being discussed even have SEC caliber talent around them at the HS level. You speak of Alexandria in the playoffs. Did you watch the Evangel TEAM in that game? Did you watch the Evangel TEAM all year?

Thats always a losing idea, no we are not recruiting freshmen QBs with the idea they will start year 1. Freshmen QBs tend to start in year 1 usually due to the actual starting QB getting hurt or just having a disaster of a season.
Lagway didnt take over at UF until Mertz was out for the season, and they had a Yale transfer also playing there when Mertz got hurt because Lagway was dealing with stuff too.

Maybe this CB coach that recruiting him and finally came home (when BK realized he made another horrid mistake on his "staff") made the difference?
Haven is right up selecting Napier to develop him to be an NFL QB instead of BK. Sorry but considering we are empty at QB, that is sad.
