If you look at the top 15, there are several that we didn't go after very hard or at all:
#6 - Brad Stewart - Florida
#7 - Keytaon Thompson - Miss St.
#11 - Adrian Ealy - Oklahoma
#13 - Keldrick Carper - A&M
#14 - Bryan Jones - Houston
So that leaves 10 in the top 15 we actually wanted:
#1 Tyler Shelvin - LSU
#2 Devonta Smith - Bama (not a dire position for us)
#3 Todd Harris - LSU trending now
#4 Philderian Mathis - Bama likely
#5 Chris Allen - Bama
#8 Travis Etienne - Clemson
#9 Bruce Jordan-Swilling - Georgia Tech (legacy and we did not go after him full force)
#12 Patrick Queen - LSU
#15 Clyde Edwards-Helaire - LSU
Its bad, but this is easily the weakest class in Louisiana in several years. Zero composite 5 stars and zero players ranked in the top 3 of their position groups (Allen and Shelvin #4).

I guess, but you can't say his recruitment wouldn't have been different if he stayed at UHigh. Not saying we would've gotten him, but it would've been a much tighter race.

Not making excuses if we strike out on some recruits, but it's crazy to think a new coach going into his first year is able to compete for players against teams like Bama and FSU. Which coach O has done pretty well at.

and would have insane pressure to go to LSU from classmates, coaches, etc.
The LSU coaches could go to all of his practices and games.
It would be a different thing altogether.
FWIW, I think Willie Gay is better than Moses. Really wish we'd steal him from MSU.

Several we got better prospects at their positions out of state.
We didn't want any of these:
#6 - Brad Stewart - Florida

And Bruce was never going to happen:
