It's interesting to see the difference between all the recruiting rankings for Toles. He is the #20 safety on 247, but because of his Rivals #2 ranking his composite brings him back to top 10. Must be raw from a technique-standpoint but that's easy to change once he gets in a good college program with the right mindset.

The #6 ranking is his composite ranking, like I mentioned was top 10. Rivals and 247 have widely different views on alot of recruits, but being #2 on one and #20 on another is interesting.

I think you take Burns...he can play CB or S.

Then you save Ransom a spot and take whichever of Alford / Toles that commits first....
This may depend on what Hampton does too....if they even take 3 more DBs

With last years DB class, we don’t need 3 more DB’s. We need men in the trenches this year. Take 2 more DB’s and wait until December to see if you have room for a 3rd.

Plan is to get 1 more CB and 2 safeties.

Still plenty of room for more DL and OL

A fellow intellectual I see...Burns and then 2/3 Alford Toles Ransom is perfect and as you said we still have space for the trenches everyone harps on 24/7

LSU can not afford to offer 2-3 more spots to positions other than offensive and defensive lines. You have to hold a spot open in case Zach Evans picks LSU too since there’s no way you turn away the #1 overall recruit regardless if RB is already stocked or not. Gotta have at minimum 6 but more like 7 spots for the lines.

Go look at Clemson and Bama. The are taking between 9-13 linemen every class. There’s a reason they are so good is because they commit almost half their scholarships in the trenches.

You realize if we take 5 more Lineman it would put us at 9 for this class which is literally in the range you just said? But ok

Toles is a beast. could potentially play some basketball here too. He and Ransom would be an awesome safety combo

Wonder if he is related to former Saints LB Alvin Toles?
