Love the fact that after being one of the only coaches retained when Kelly came here, he’s built our O-line back up to a championship-caliber level.

You know Sloan was giddy to have this news in advance of meeting with Bryce this weekend!

The kid understands it better than most adults! I agree that he continues to impress with each passing interview.

If you had to pick one player on the field to encapsulate that leadership mentality, you'd be hard pressed to find a better one than QB. Add the fact that he has the tools to develop into a fantastic college QB, the sky really is the limit.

I try to temper my expectations with recruits (especially before they sign and make it to campus), but it's getting difficult with Hurley!

I've mostly lurked the last few years on here but MAN has this board been flooded with "the sky is falling" type negativity! Howard transferring is certainly not ideal, but I'm hopeful that means we're seeing some development of Nuss + Collins/Hurley putting pressure behind Howard.

I trust the staff evaluations for any remaining LB/DL/etc. for those remaining spots.
It still amazes me the amount of depth Ohio State builds on their O-line. The fact they are still getting interest from Latham after pulling Paris Johnson Jr. (and returning their multi year LT starter) is nuts.

Would be a huge pull for LSU here.
If we are talking this past season, I think Thad Moss would be a great commentator. Always came across as well spoken and knowledgeable in interviews and I'm sure growing up around Randy he is used to some of the limelight.
LSU receiving corps and DBs are both across the board better than Clemson. I will give you that Simmons is a baller but he won't be able to cover 5 guys by himself.
Your D is #1 in the nation playing in the ACC... offensive and defensive rankings mean nothing if the quality of opponent is not at least on par between the two teams. I don't see Clemson coming out unscathed if they had to play Florida, Auburn, Alabama, and Georgia this year.

Who do you have in your top 5 defensive players in CFB this year if you think you have the #1?

I think the rating for OL is a little low, as Dumervil as arguably a top 5 guy at tackle and will lock down his side of the line for a few years. Hill has potential to move to center for us, which is huge if Charles Turner can't gain the necessary weight for the position as Cush's backup (assuming SVP goes to UGA...). Martinez adds good depth from a guard perspective, and you always hope a guy like CamRon Jackson turns out to be a diamond in the rough as a tackle.
I'm with you on Kole, he's a dynamic athlete and it seemed like everyone was singing his praises when he first committed too. Unfortunately for him we're also getting another stud TE that is overshadowing him. Watching our offense I think he knows there's plenty to eat if he plays to the level we expect him to

:dude:
Based on everything I've read it seems like UGA was one of the predicted landing points for him after we backed off. Wish we didn't because the kid is a baller, but I trust the coaches know more than I do when it comes to where we stand with uncommitted guys.
What a year LSU has had so far in terms of recruiting :geauxtigers:

We're going to be set at ILB for years with him and Sampah coming on board!
I agree we will most likely see some natural attrition in this class since their senior season hasn’t even started yet... Plenty of recruiting to go.

First in hopefuls in my mind (with one decommitment)
-Guillory is a needed NT piece with only two on roster for our 3-4 defense
-Van Pran
-Dumervil
-Johnson (only helps our case with Van Pran)

Lagniappe with potential further attrition:
-Webb
-Moore

The #6 ranking is his composite ranking, like I mentioned was top 10. Rivals and 247 have widely different views on alot of recruits, but being #2 on one and #20 on another is interesting.

It's interesting to see the difference between all the recruiting rankings for Toles. He is the #20 safety on 247, but because of his Rivals #2 ranking his composite brings him back to top 10. Must be raw from a technique-standpoint but that's easy to change once he gets in a good college program with the right mindset.

With Jase McClellan already in OU's 2020 class I wonder how much that affects Kendall's decision process.
