I know he and Walker Howard are close. He’s as big of a priority as I can remember for in state OL, maybe since La’el Collins.

but Deculus was rated as a Guard, correct. He will be a guard in the NFL, if he makes it. He is not a top tackle.

Coming out of high school Deculus was the #10 ranked tackle in the country and the 48th player overall

Wow. Barely 3 pages for a player everyone says is a must get. Where are all the predictions?

I think folks are apprehensive about getting their hopes up. Highly rated tackle from north Louisiana gives people unsavory memories of big ol’ crimson titties.

Having said that, I’d say it’s LSU.

*blows on dice* c'mon baby, mama needs a new pair of shoes.

Only thing most are willing to say is that we are definitely in the running and are NOT just a hat on the table.

But this is a very early commitment. It would be great if he chose the Tigers, but we would still have to continue recruiting him as if no commitment existed for a year.

And if he doesn't choose the Tigers Saturday, there's a years worth of recruitment to change his mind.

I'm hoping The Luck of the Irish doesn't show up Sat. however. Instead of a prediction, you get a "worry", from me at least. That would make the flip harder than normal.

ETA: just be glad those two posters aren't arguing over who knows his Mom the best have simmered down.

Last spring WC was all LSU and I still believe it is that way! My son's baseball team played WC's younger brother's team in the Spring and I got to talk to the younger Campbell between innings. I asked him do you think your brother is going to pick LSU and he said definitely LSU!! Also the younger Campbell was playing catcher and looks like he will be a big kid maybe a future prospect.

I have a prediction for you, Riolobo.

On Saturday at 6:30 pm, WC commits to LSU - giving the Tigers verbal commitments from Louisiana’s top two prospects for the class of 2022. And while receiving the commitment of a Top-50 OL is exciting in-and-of-itself, I’m predicting it’s actually just the first (and most significant) domino to fall in a chain reaction that leads to something we’ve all been wanting for some time - an elite offensive line recruiting CLASS.

That’s right - I believe 2022 is finally the year LSU signs five (5) really good OL in a single class - not just one or two, but an entire rotation of guys that will be good SEC lineman.

I believe Campbell’s commitment leads to Emery Jones, which leads to Bo Bordelon. And I’m keeping the faith that Cregg can maintain his “mini-streak” of being able to sign one (1) highly-rated OOS tackle, with that prospect being Julian Armella or Qae’shon Sapp in 2022.

So, my “bold prediction” for the 2022 offensive line class is as:

1. Lucas Taylor, OG
2. Will Campbell, OT
3. Emery Jones, OG
4. Bo Bordelon, C
5. Julian Armella, OT or Qae’shon Sapp, OT

I think Cam East's offer is probably coming by the summer.
