I didn't declare that the kid wasn't a take... all I did was ask a simple question on whether he is a take at this point in the recruiting cycle.

You have to evaluate more than just talent, Is the young man coachable, is he a team player, does he have character issues.etc…..

I say we take which ever ones the coaches want and can get to sign.

I think that the fact we need 4 or 5 safeties this year basically says he is a take if the coaches like him.

Chris Carrier was a very good safety at about 6'5 in the 1980's. This kid looks like physical athlete and would be a great addition.

Not being familiar with how 247 gets their information, is it possible a player (not necessarily this guy) can just list any schools they want without actually having a legitimate offer from said school? I know the schools aren't allowed to say anything, so I'm just curious if players can hype themselves up like that one kid did in the Northwest a few years ago. He set up a table with hats and had a signing ceremony in his High School gym. No one realized he hadn't been recruited by any of the big time schools he had hats for on the table. So I'm just asking to what extent a player can fib and get away with it?

My monitor shows them the same. But it doesn't make sense he'd refer to LSU as home since he's committed to Clemson.

I live in South Carolina in Clemson country. I asked around Clemson wants this kid. Venables is recruiting this kid personally
