Hadn't seen anything about this guy yet but looks like a great prospect.

quote:

California gunslinger DJ Uiagalelei made his first-ever visit to Baton Rouge on Feb. 4, just two weeks after being offered by new offensive coordinator Steve Ensminger. Truth be told, even the No. 3-ranked pro-style passer per the 247Sports composite rankings, was caught off-guard by the overture.

quote:

The 6-foot-5 and 245-pound Uiagalelei possesses an impressive frame to go along with impressive arm strength and accuracy.

That's a big kid to be going into his JR year. (Captain obvious)

A big pro style guy like that could do well in the SEC.

Wonder if he's going to hit another growth spurt

Reading the article it sounds like he enjoyed his visit. We might be a long shot but he looks like he would be a great fit here.

Seems like a great prospect. How many kids do we get from Cali? Seems unlikely, but keep in contact while he’s interested

Lol.

I posted a thread on this guy last year, then just last month, I think, stated that he was coming to visit LSU.

He's a beast, and he'd be the perfect QB after Brennan/Narcisse leave.

With size like that at qb, we're sure to offer him as a tight end.

was watching this dude's highlights last night, so late bump

might be the best size/skill set combo for a QB that i've seen in a while. reminds me of a more advanced cam newton, great size, elite passer and elusiveness.

he's gonna be a force wherever he ends up.

just wished we had a legit shot at this dude.

He just tweeted about LSU’s uniforms they are wearing tomorrow. Recruits and former players are going crazy on social media about them.

man, whoever gets this dude is in for some major, major success at QB.

threw 6 TDs tonight vs. Oaks Christian in the cali semis.

as far as passing goes, prob the most polished and advanced mechanics I've seen in a prospect in a good while.

He uses his frame extremely well and his delivery is next level imo

Mainieri and Orgeron need to be in his ear promising the world and some.
