he's not playing football anymore. With all that time you couldn't even Google all your picks? You deserve it IMO.

Is Jemburt going to allow you to repick? IMO with all the time you had and it being like the 3rd result on Google you should have to stick with it

Why would a repick be in order? Kids never see the field for grades and such. This kid could always come back to football and if so Mike owns his rights.

Would have taken him myself, but really just don't see a clear path to playing time for him.

This has happened before. Usually the guy is stuck with the hurt guy. Sometimes people pick players with illnesses and conditions hoping they end up playing in the future

Seems like given the scenario of making up an assload of picks, this one might be forgivable... but that's just me. End of the day, you can always pick up an extra DB in the supplementary rounds, but just seems needlessly dickish when he basically had to trade his round 11-16 picks for 6 round 16 picks due to his schedule. We all got lives bruh, sometimes they get in the way.

I defer to jem...

I think I lost 2 from my class of 16 before they ever saw the field... heart condition for one, drawing a blank on the other now.

I think in the first or second draft, my first round pick died falling off a balcony on spring break during the recruit draft. I think I replaced him during the enfuego round

In This case it was know Russell wasn't gonna at for football for weeks before the draft even started. IMO the least you can do is Google a player before you pick. It's Jemburts decision so my opinion is irrelevant but I think he should be stuck with him.

The Phanaticks select:

Jalil Irvin - OG - Auburn

247 Profile

Jalil Irvin is a mobile offensive line prospect who could make an impact at any of the three interior spots within most groups. He is fluid in his movement off of the football en route to the intended target and has a knack for being able to remain engaged with defenders longer than most. Irvin plays with a high motor and can wear on a lineman through the whistle as a run blocker. Like many his age, he needs polish as a pass blocker and can work on his lower-body power in order to anchor more consistently against larger opponents. -- John Garcia, Jr.

I’m allowing mikeboss to repick because:

1.) It’s during the draft and we have precedent. LarryD is correct. He had a player pass during the RMD (Matt James) and he was allowed to repick DURING THE DRAFT. OBUDan had a player (Shon Coleman) find out he had cancer, but unlike Harry (Larry), he chose to not repick. Coleman didn’t medically retire, and after beating cancer, returned to play. From what I can tell, this condition is not something Russell can “beat” to return to football later in life.

2.) If someone is going to have to decide, it will obviously have to be me. It’s not like we caught this 15 rounds down the line like with James in 2010. We haven’t even got through but a few picks. As someone said earlier, he was back 6 picks, and was probably hastily making those picks due to my consistant badgering. And I can guarantee that everyone (except Verlander) has made picks on a whim without Googling a history on that player.

His repick stands, and Gipson is now his. Likewise, Russell is back in the pool of players (not that anyone would be drafting him now anyway).

I select Andrew Johnson ILB Oregon. He’s listed as an OLB but everything I’ve read says he will play inside for Oregon. He looks very fast in his highlights and played all over including DT. Interesting player and underrated IMO

For round 17, Team FibonacciSquared selects:

Jordan Davis - DT/NT - UGA

(not to be confused with Jordan Davis - DE - Alabama)

With John John Atkins running out of eligibility this year, we don't have a great answer at NT. Jordan Davis is an absolute mountain of a dude. He's still very raw, but he's got a lot of talent and I actually feel good about our ability to coach up on the DL with Tray Scott right now. Thinking he'll redshirt, but with a good camp it's not out of the question that he could see himself rotated in some packages...
