Oh wow, I just found out that my 2nd round pick Wyatt Davis is the son of the actor that played Alvin Mack in "The Program." I feel like I just won the draft.

Superstud I was starting to get my hopes up that he would fall to the bonus rounds

OBUDan Selects:
Ryan Jones, S, OU
Big kid that played all over in HS but should be a stud SS at OU. Amazing ball skills but he can be an enforcer in the run game. He'll be a really good player.

In round 17, going to have to steal a little bit of Verlander's thunder. The fastest player in the 2017 class is apparently up for some debate here (can't find tailwind breakdown for Guidry...).
Team FibonacciSquared selects Eric Stokes, Cornerback - UGA.
Highlights
Stokes is the fastest player in the state of Georgia. Clocked a 4.35 40 yard dash at The Opening, and reportedly ran a laser timed 4.33 at Georgia Tech's camp. His 100M time has Guidry by the slimmest of margins with an official 10.40 to Guidry's 10.41.
Split time as both a Running Back and Corner/Safety in High School, though was a key contributor on special teams as a return specialist as well. He's been recruited to UGA as a corner, though unless I'm way wrong, I feel like he's going to be limited to Nickel or roll into one of the Safety slots in Nickel packages for LeCounte to slide into the Nickel spot - either of which work fine for me.
Honestly, was on the fence on which direction I was going to go with my defense, but this will complete it as I'm going to roll with this 3-3-5, moving Grant to the OLB spot (where he's projected to spend most of his time at UGA, though he's versatile as hell and they'll move him around as needed) and having Niu lock up the true MLB slot. Stokes is too talented an athlete to potentially lose before the bonus rounds for me. Could easily see us finding some room for him in the IMac speed sweep game if no one else is able to fill that void (looking at you Mecole).

It's absolutely insane he lasted this long.

Nice. I think Stokes time was a bit more wind aided. Either way Duvernay my #1 pick from last year ran 10.27

Yeah, I had picked someone already selected, and decided to stay within the position group. I double checked like 4 times to make sure it was right. I'm all about Michigan, LSU and Clemson defense when available.

GCB selects:
Kennedy Brooks, RB, Oklahoma
I opted to double down on Oklahoma running backs in hopes that one emerges as their leading carrier this season. Brooks has good vision and breakaway speed, but lacks fluidity in his running style. My hope is that he and his backfield mate, Sermons, are a repeat of Perrine and Mixon on the field.

I was going to take him next, because he is from Augusta. I grew up there and knew a bunch of Truesdels.

I know I am stretching but some of you guys are really good and some of y'all are playing the game the same way as I do. Since I have reached on most picks I will again.
TPhan selects (one of my favs in this class FYI!)
Amik Robertson CB Louisiana Tech
"He's a big fan of Tyrann Mathieu. As a young player growing up that's the type of player he saw himself as. He sees himself as an undersized guy that's kind of overachieved for his size. He wants to leave his own footsteps and make his own imprint on the game. He understands Tyrann is a dynamic player. Tyrann is Tyrann, but I think he wants to be Amik Robertson and leave his own mark and establish himself as a player."
