I really appreciate the offer, but I can't accept. I do this because I have some spare time and most importantly, I love it. I wasn't able to do much research as I usually do this year, but I still enjoyed it. Some of y'all would probably give me $10 for me to lose your number.
But seriously, thanks for the offer and I'm sorry to disappoint those interested. Most, if not all of you, don't know me in real life. If you did, you'd understand my actions on this matter.
I was going to post a little something after all the picks were made (Looking at y'all Roll and Suntiger), but now is good. I'd like to thank everyone for a great draft. We finished it faster than we ever have, which as the old guys know with the first couple of drafts, were literally like pulling teeth. We'd go a day with only a handful of picks.... maybe. The first draft saw 6 teams get "enfuegoed", including the first one to go, Enfuego, which is why we coined that term for the dropouts.
I'm hoping to continue this every year as well as having y'all keep us informed on your teams. We had aspirations at times to score this thing, or even try to keep a full 85 man roster by releasing the ones who don't work out. I think I enjoy it as it is however, where each draft stands alone, and we just take pride in being able to outdraft one another.
700 players selected. That's why I enjoy this. Because I'm looking at players well beyond the Top 247 lists. And remember, you make one selection, and I post it in FOUR places, or five if you lazy bastards ask me to post for you. With that, my college football knowledge has grown pretty well. Maybe Memphis will get me a job in scouting one day.
Again, thanks for helping us continue this thing every year. Now it's wait and see who actually did well this year.
ETA: And the 1100 post to boot!
ETA again: Instead of money, just buy me a drink if we ever meet. I'll accept that as an informal payment!

I would be down for doing an 85 man roster or a yearly/weekly all-team team. Come to think of it, I will probably 'set' my line-up each week and see how they do. May even adopt fantasy style points for it. Who knows.
If any of you come to Auburn for the game this year, hit me up and come eat.

And if you're ever down for an LSU game, do the same.
Side note, I wish Jake Broggi would've came out earlier that he would be a walk-on at LSU. I know his father well from my business. Good people. I really hope he does well.

Was literally getting ready to reply "In" but then saw your post. So I guess the best I can do is offer up a drink if you're in Atlanta for any reason. Really enjoyed the draft, so thanks a ton for bringing me in. Enjoyed seeing how other people evaluated guys, and it's nice to have interactions on these boards with different fanbases that don't incite flames, trolls, and douchebaggery (granted I don't venture outside of the UGA, SECr, Recruiting boards often). Made me look a lot deeper than just the UGA targets and already making the early insights on the 2017 class and beyond more interesting.
I think the 85 man roster thing sounds cool, but worst case, maybe we all give ourselves a "report card" on the guys selected as the 2016 comes to a close.
With a new little one around, I imagine making it to games is about to get a bit more challenging for a couple of seasons (trying out G-day as a dry run though... could get proven wrong), but keep me posted if anyone is headed to Athens for any reason. Similarly, offer stands to go grab a beer or thirteen if anyone is hanging out in Atlanta and I'm free.

I want Justice Hill, rb Oklahoma state,
Ladarren Brown, also an osu rb,
KJ Sails, cb UNC (how was he not picked?)
Roderick Campbell, Jr cb northwestern,
And finally (Mr. Irrelevant) Zack sandwisch, olb west Virginia
Also, Jembeurt, you're a hero. This is one of my favorite things I do each year, and it's only my new job that made it a struggle this year. Already excited for next time!

Thanks Roll.
Well that does it, boys. All that is left is the playing on the field, or in Dan's case, them getting in trouble off the field. I'll probably bump this thread as the season goes on from time to time. Feel free to do the same when you want to brag about a player on your team that's doing well.
Thanks again for a speedy draft.

Thanks jembeurt for overseeing another year of this draft. This may have been the smoothest year ever.

2016 Class superlatives
Biggest Steal: David Marshall DE/DT -Round 17 - Georgia
Deep south DE with the size to play DT, had offers from every SEC school pretty much and ended up decommitting from Auburn and choosing Georgia over Bama
Biggest Reach: Charles Baldwin OT - Round 7 - Alabama
Choose this big fella because Bama loves to play Juco guys on the line, especially at the tackle position. I think this kid is the next big Right tackle for Bama
Most Underrated - Tavares Chase WR - round 18 - Clemson
This kid will be the next big WR. I cant state that enough. Played at IMG, couldnt be held at any camp, Saivion said he is the best WR he's faced and committed to Clemson early on
Biggest Sleeper - Spencer Perry S - round 20 - Notre Dame
Had offers from everyone. Ohio State, Notre Dame, Clemson, he decommitted from Florida and committed to ND, Will be a baller
Biggest Risk/reward - Joseph Putu CB - round 8 - Florida
Super late addition to everyones board at the end of the 2016 cycle, has Tyran Mathieu ability in patrick peterson size. Everyone was filling up for his official visit and signed with florida when it was all said and done. i think this kid has 1st/2nd round nfl draft material
Early Impact - Derrick Brown DT - Number uno - Auburn.
This kid pulled a stunner on UGA and spurned them from Auburn. after a very dominating senior year, look for this kid to be a starter come first game at Auburn. This kid has the size K. Steele likes for his 3-4 nose

Do you all ever go back and reflect on past drafts, specifically from 3+ years ago? It seems like it would be cool to see who did the best. Sorry if this was a stupid question.

The regulars keep up with their own guys year to year. Don't really declare winners and losers from old drafts.
Mostly people just post things like "man my 2014 draft was terrible. Look at all these busts" or "these guys from my 2013 class are killing it".

I wouldn't call him a steal. He basically got told to kick rocks from the Auburn staff a few weeks prior to signing day.

We will be running a lot of 4-3 this year. Monty Adams is down to ~290 and will be on the field more than any other DL for Auburn.

Yeah I saw that. Auburn actually has another guy in their signing class battling cancer too. Hope they can both overcome like Shon Coleman.

Looks like my round 7 pickup OT Charles Baldwin is going to start for Bama at RT this year! Awesome
