Bubba Hotep just tweeted about a pretty awesome transfer option IMO...
Hornsby shot 92.5% free throws and 38% from 3 point range. He is 6'4" and plays PG. That's faptastic.

UNC-Ashville guard Keith Hornsby tells Daily Press that LSU is a transfer possibility. Son of musician Bruce Hornsby would be a junior.

Hornsby prepped at Oak Hill & averaged 15 points, 4.2 rebounds this season as a soph at Asheville. Others: NC State, St Mary's, Miami (Oh)

Yea he would redshirt this coming season then have 2 seasons of eligibility.

Sure he was the PG on his team? There's a shorter guy who averaged more assists
Seems like he could be a great combo guard for us. 6'4 with the ability to distribute and shoot the 3 (37.8%). Sign me up. Would help lessen the sting of losing Stringer and give us another distributor on the floor with size as well.

He look like he'd be a good fit based on his stats. Not a big fan of transfers though.

I'm not sure if he played PG for them, but he was listed as a PG. definitely a combo guard and I would think of him as an off guard.

And the other guard was 6-3 and only averaged .7 more assists.

Totally. The lack of those Hornsby genes were what lead to his awful shooting percentage.

That's just the way it is.

I hear Hornsby's son has a lot of "range" on his jump shot.

I figure those U High freshmen would get their offers soon.
Johnny will have every advantage to lock down the great young in-state talent.

LSU was never in it, but we got our foot in the door at Montverde, where Ben Simmnons is at, and in basketball recruiting more so than all the others its about personal connections, and less about distance, tradition, or top NBA factories, but don't get me wrong they help.

Yes. It'll be interesting to see which prospects get offers now with a new evaluator and a new area to go after.
