Lynx,
Nice job, well thought out and I agree on pretty much everything you said.

Ditto.

When Cali guys start exclaiming over an LSU offer you know you are one of the big boys in the country.

Anderson evidently has some family that is from LA/TX so thats a help for him. I can't say I am too impressed with the offer for Anderson at this stage in the game. I see there being plenty of guys similar to him throughout the south that we could go after.

I think we are a serious player for scroggins who has quickly become one of the hottest topics in the country. His stock is on the rise--and fast!

I am tempted to say LSU offered Anderson to get to Scroggins, but that would be out of character for our program. I can't remember the last teammate we offered just to get another player.

Running back seems very weak as well which is a shame. It looks like LSU is going to go out of state for all of their guys this year (hopefully it can be Worle, Storm, and Seastrunk).

Very true. I forgot about RB/FB in my answer.

Luckily, the south has tons of quality RBs so going out of state is realistic.

I'm hoping for Worle, Seastrunk, Dontae Williams, and Storm.

Eric Reid -- 5.9 4 star. #72 overall nationally on Rivals. I don't think I have to say much. He will eventually be the leader of the defense. Smart kid that knows the game and has the athletic ability to do anything you ask of him. Him at SS and Loston at FS will be a tandem that we are talking about for a long time. I could see him moving into the 40s with a good senior year. It is hard for Rivals to include intelligence and 'intangibles' in their rankings...but this kind has it.

I agree. I think he could potentially crack the 5 star rating. He looks like a stud with a great frame as a JR

I think Kevin Anderson should be excited about the LSU offer since it's probably the best one he has gotten up to this point, and he doesn't seem like a truly elite out of state talent. I wonder if he is willing to switch to corner or if he is a potential package deal with Scroggins.

Dyron Dye to get Ray Ray and Debose?

I wouldn't really contest, but I got called out, so here's my opinion.

Jamarcus Hardrick- He is a big dude. Les Knows OL. Hardrick will be able to come in, in the following season and bring tears to the eyes of the owners of great wall. Heisman material.

Brandon Worle - Good FB, probably won't get a 4th star. But don't worry, Jacob Hester was a 2 STAR!!!

Nick Jacobs - Eats puppies for breakfast. Look for him to kick Saban in the nuts during the 2012 Bama game.

Luke Muncie - Kind of like Chad Jones, except slower, smaller and without the possibility for a "who? Luke Muncie" Chant.

D.J. Welter - ran a 3.92 forty in my back yard.

Tharold Simon - This years Calhoun. Where do you play him? Les will likely make him the 5th scholarship kicker.

Justin Hunter - On my first (and probably only) serious note, this kid is incredible. I know his speed is in doubt, but his athleticism is off the charts. If we sign Heaps in this class, look for 90% of our plays to be fades. I really think he deserves 5 stars.

Mike Davis - Another serious comment (I guess I have a saft spot for WR's...) I read an article about him recruiting for LSU. I'm not going to be completely sure about his commitment until he signs, but I think we can sleep well for the time being. I don't see him going any higher than 5.8, but he looks to be a great speed receiver that will get his shot to be a contributor at LSU.

Eric Reid - Look for him to come in and hook up with a lot of girls at Bogie's. Will probably decide to turn on some incredible game whenever he's not waving to the slut in the gold tank top. He'll blow up his senior year, revolutionize college football, teabag Urban Meyer whilst fingerblasting 6 of the golden girls, the Chiefs will trade their entire two deep roster to take him as the first round pick and he will be inducted into the NFL hall of fame as a rookie. In short, if he was committed to Bama, he would be a 7.3 ********* recruit. Look for him to be forgotten about for the rest of the recruiting year.

Hope I didn't let you down maxi-poo.

Lynx knows his shite and while he's less optimistic about a couple of recruits than I am, I'm probably erring on the side of homerism.

I don't see him being taken as a CB...but the package deal has to come into your mind because, like you said, "he doesn't seem like truly elite out of state talent."

I don't think you can say any of them ONLY got an offer to potentially get another one. Dryon was consider the "worst" out of those three, but he was a take in my mind the entire year no matter what. That was just a freakish amount of talent together.

----
A better example would be if we offered the other Skyline kid that is committed to A&M just so that we could grab the whole trio (mainly Davis and Corey Nelson).

I don't see that kind of thing happening with the position of the program.

At the same time, I have been a little prematurely harsh in 'grading' some of the past guys. But like I've always said--I try to be objective.

This is reserved for the really epically gay posters. I'm talking about the kind of gay that would make Boy George scream "fig" out of a passing car.

My hope is it will serve as a warning to all who read these boards and a petition to get the slapdicks away.

I saw you on Rivals recently so didnt know if you had scout too.

Each site has its major +/-. When I want to watch videos, Rivals is always my first stop.

1st of all, good to see you hanging around again. Like usual, I think you are "dead on" on just about all comments.

Geez, you are only 20 yrs old? WOW!

Great job Lynx, and the post was NOT too long. It was a welcomed relief from the normal bickering and pissing contest (of which I admit, I sometimes get caught up in.) Anyway, great post and great thread---so far.
