Wow it's hard to believe that top schools like LSU & USC are being forced to give offers this early in the recruiting process. Seems a little risky taking players after their junior season just ended. In short, it's only a verbal which means the kid could still change his mind before signing day which is a long ways off.
Is this something relatively new? How many did LSU have last year at this time and who were they?

USC has been giving early offers for a while now. I think the other big programs all have to do the same. There are always some players who will wait for signing day. But the number of big name players committing early are going up, so the programs have to offer early.
And if the kid can graduate early, then he has to get offered real early.

what are the chances we get jamarkus mcfarland anyone know lsu is one of his top 3 but i also see texas in there and thats his home state. Hopefully he realizes they aren't shite compared to LSU
