And Sumlin has coached a team where 3 guys went for 1,000+, and a season where a guy went for 1,700+ and 1,200+. Is that not allowed to be used in evidence?

Evidence for what? That he throws the ball a lot? No shite, we've already agreed on that.

Apparently you didn't grasp my point. Whether that was on purpose or not, I don't care. I'm not going to pursue this argument with you any longer.

TeLe is a smart guy with an insatiable desire to flame. I admittedly suffer from the same affliction.

But it's pretty easy to cut through his stuff and find the legit points, even when he tries to hide them.

why bother, keep the SECrant bullshite over there, that place has become a black hole for actual discussion because of posters like him. Please don't bring that hack act to the recruiting board.

So let me get this straight, every single offensive position skill position would be crazy to A&M over LSU? Running back, full back, tight end, and wide receiver?
Of course - A&M sucks. You can map A&M's times of relevance directly prior to their time on probation.

There are plenty of guys that have NFL experience, but certain systems utilize some positions more than others. LSU's system and offensive philosophy doesn't utilize WRs as much as A&M's does, regardless of the NFL experience on staff...
what I find ironic is that the OM guys are telling Jacory we ONLY utilize WR's and that TE's are useless in our scheme. (which is beside this particular point, but whatever)

Are your tight ends utilized more in the passing or running game? You do a lot of play action, and the tight ends do block on passing plays quite a bit.

Yeah, Cam Cameron didn't use Antonio Gates at all in San Diego.

Just out of curiosity why do you post this information when you are not asked to post information given to subscribers ????

I'm not saying you don't use your tight ends in the passing game, I'm just wondering(not pointing out), you might not use it as much as other do... You provided a great counterpoint to that narrative, but not what I was hoping for. I was hoping one of the greatest mismatches the NFL wouldn't be your example, rather your own players. I have no idea how many passes your tight ends caught this year or even their names.

Why not ask this on the rant or the SEC Rant?

Because it related to something an LSU poster said about LSU's recruiting against OM in a thread on the LSU Recruiting Board.

LSU doesn't have a great history with it's TE's in recent history. Much of that was due to DeAngelo Peterson looking the part... but couldn't catch a ball IF he ran the proper route to save his life.

We, as LSU fans, expect that to change with Cam. We'll see. He's definitely influenced the type of TE's being recruited.

But I was just pointing out the irony of the Rebels postings (they were all over Jacory yesterday). They can't claim we can't pass anymore because of the first duo 1k yd WRs in SEC history, so they swapped gears to saying we ONLY use our WRs.

TEs, 2013: 2 TEs, 12 rec, 211 yds, 0 TD
TEs, 2012: 3 TEs, 16 rec, 182 yds, 0 TD

So not much change with Cam in his first year. The big change was with the WRs & QB (don't need to post stats to make that point)
