10 spots left
Posted by Cigar on 7/25/21 at 8:44 pm301
If all current commitments hold we have 15.
That leaves us with 10 more. I’d expect a few more from Louisiana. Main targets in the state are Jones, Wiggins, Law, Preston, and Moss.
LSU Prospects
The Top prospects we have a good shot at:
Denver Harris
Harold Perkins
Omari Abor
Shazz Preston LA
Kendrick Law LA
Quency Wiggins LA
Azareyeh Thomas
J’mond Tapp LA
Emery Jones LA
Malik Agbo
Kamari Wilson
Julian Armella
Leveon Moss LA

I’d agree but I think since this class is so deep with LA recruits you take any worth taking just to show you lock the state down. Along with the top ones out of state that want to come. I think you can find 10 worth committing that are left on the board. There are 5-6 just in the state I’d expect/hope to land.

If we hold the 15 we have now IMO we are only taking 8. Need 2 spots as a contingency to play the transfer portal.
Or we Bama it up and sign these 12, the 15 committed, and another 10!

There are 2 current commits unlikely to be in our final class but you’ve listed the meat & potatoes of our final wishlist. There are 4 other serious recruits we attempting to woo. But since our moderator keeps whacking what I write , I will leave it at that. To whomever keeps blocking my posts, I understand and will try not to let out any more sensitive info, my bad, I guess.

I think LSU gets the six remaining Louisiana dudes, Emery Jones, Kendrick Law, Shazz Preston, Jmond Tapp, Quincey Wiggins, and I think Le'veon Moss flips back to LSU.
Thus that would put LSU at 21 recruits for the season.
Furthermore, I don't think LSU saves roster spots for the transfer portal unless all they can get is three-star players. I think LSU will fill out its full 25 recruiting class allotment if it can get all high four-star and five star players.
With respect to out of state players, I think linebacker Harold Perkins will become a part of this LSU recruiting class. As Mike Scarborough said the other day on his podcast that he thinks LSU leads and that the gap between LSU and A&M is getting wider.
Then I would love for OT Julian Armella to also become a part of LSU's recruiting class as well. While I have heard no updates since Armella's father's visit, I think their silence is golden.
Also, Florida State is on the verge of filling up their offensive line class. Hence, since Florida is not waiting around for Armella to commit, then I see that as a positive sign for the good guys.
I would love for LSU to add defensive linemen Anthony Lucus from Scottsdale, AZ to this recruiting class, but I don't know how we stand with him. As the last thing I heard about Lucus was he enjoyed his visit.
Safety Azareyeh Thomas has LSU in his top three, so we may have a good shot with him if he commits hopefully in the not too distant future.
I also heard a Rivals guy on YouTube a couple of days ago from Georgia say how the recruiters at UGA are complaining about safety Kamari Wilson's recruitment. As they all thought it would be easy. However, LSU is making Wilson's recruitment very difficult and the Rival guy even said that he thinks LSU may even hold a slight lead for his services.
In any event, I'd be happy if LSU ends up with anyone of those two safeties.
In addition, Evan Stewart the five-star receiver out of Frisco, TX, is also high on LSU. Thus, I wouldn't mind seeing that dude become a part of our 2022 recruiting class one bit.

Really? That's very interesting. Who might they be?
I've heard Aaron Anderson was going to be difficult to keep in this class because Mike Scarborough says it in everyone of his weekly podcast. The only other recruit that I can think of because I really don't know much about him is JaDarian Rhym.
Am I guessing right?
I think the LA guys are solid and the OOS guys will really come down to how their season plays out in terms of the outlook of the program.
We have to save at least 2 spots for the portal if not 3. Barring a big jump from the OL returning after this year, we will be very thin going into the 2022 season at that position group. Roster management will be key.
