247 has him rated as the 12th best RB in the country. Is LSU waiting on him to camp to offer? Tony St. Julien

Yes and he will have to really blow them away to get an offer right now

What class is Vinton? Not a shot, we've had great players come from small schools. Just curious, never seen them.

I think we will be trying land a couple bigger fish next year.....like a top 5 RB IMO....
That is why we have the best RB recruiter on our staff now, we need a Stud

LSU will probably end up with one stud and a low 4/high 3 star guy. It's tough to get two studs.

247 is out of touch.
Numbers arent close to other backs. And
Those backs played much tougher competition.

Hes an athlete, best RB don't see it.

Knock is that his competition is not good which makes him difficult to really scout.

I think the staff should not offer him, wait til a couple weeks before signing day, which is the day after a top rated RB LSU wants commits somewhere else. When he gets that LSU offer he'll be so happy about it and surely sign with LSU

I hope they take the approach of offering, and recruiting their arse off at positions of need, like RB this year. Offer them all and let the ones that want to be tigers come...if they don't want to Then go elsewhere. No slow playing BS.

If too many of them want in this class then it'll sort itself out in the end.

I don't know anything about this kid personally or whether he's worth that ranking, just more of a general statement.

LSU will have to get him qualified like Bama got Eddie Lacy qualified.

Well he needs to put on a good bit of weight and in the highlights I've seen he has great feet and decent vision but I think LSU can do better than this. Looks like a great WR actually more of a slot guy or someone to throw quick screens to, would fit in Canada's offense but I'm afraid not at RB. LSU will find a couple studs this year take that to the bank. They will basically play right away for LSU and Canada so, we still have to show what this offense can do to lots of these guys. If we showcase the RB position like I think we will and Guice has a huge season we'll basically have our pick. We'll see next year but we do need to grab the best available guy ASAP so we do have at least one on board already. GT

Versatile versatile back. Potentially one of the best nationally

Just a little FYI Florida State just landed two 5 stars RB's and a high 4 star RB in this class, just saying

Man I haven't looked at all of them, but the running back class this year looks average as f**k. I'm not talking just Louisiana, I'm talking the entire country. It's not like 2014, 2015, and 2017 when you just knew several guys were/are going to be crazy good. These guys just look run of the mill so far to me. Even Zamir White who looks good, like top back Miles Sanders did for 2016, but he doesn't wow.

Really hate us missing out on Cam Akers, hopefully CEH pans out like I believe he will.

He said tough, not impossible.

LSU didn't even get one. Hopefully that's a selling point that works out for us
