While I don't necessarily agree with what Thomas is doing, I also don't blame him. He's got a new team to build now and that's where his loyalties should lie.
AT and O have a long relationship and you can bet if O were to say anything criticizing this I'm sure he'd bring up Os little tryst when he left Tennessee. I seem to remember O, Kiffin and those that went with them calling kids they recruited to Tennessee telling the EEs not to sign early and visit USC. What's good for the goose.

Idk if I’m just an idiot or if the tweet is misleading but it appears to read that he is going for a visit to UT before he signs his LOI to UT.

When will Cregg start recruiting? Anyone know? I'd love him to go with Orgeron and Robinson/Ensminger to see Badara. Cregg's resume should lock him in after that

Cry me a river

It’s seems like O got as much of a career boost out of Austin as Austin got out of O if not more.

Yes the visit is to Tennessee but we will have to wait and see where the signed LOI will be.

I think that the tweet is worded poorly & it should've read that Traore "is taking one last visit TO TENNESSEE before signing his letter of intent". How would Spiegs know that Traore is signing w/ UT? If that's the case, he would've decommited, I would hope.

It's not dirty, it's the nature of the game. It's give and take. When Will Wade came to LSU, he brought some players with him that were VCU commits. Just means LSU must work a little harder to get him here than what they expected. I doubt he's the only player Thomas is trying to flip. He should be concentrating on those guy's who were committed to Tenn.

This would be a huge blow for next year depth wise.

He has two teammates visiting the Vols. Tagging along for the fun.
Bonus:
Vols hosting NC Saturday in basketball.
Good trip!

Take your stupidity and hatred of the LSU head coach back to the Rant where you belong, TARD.

"“I’ve been blessed to work with two of the greatest recruiters in the history of college football,” Thomas said. “Coach O (at Tennessee and USC) was the first person to ever give me a chance. I owe him so much."

"Thomas was promoted to General Manager following Ed Orgeron being named the Tigers’ permanent head coach in November of 2016.

The first General Manager in the history of the Southeastern Conference and one of two in the nation,"

Made his career, got him a job at USC and the University of LSU.

He was already on staff

Yes, but Austin got his big break from O before he arrived at LSU, he’s worked under O at three different schools, and he’s been described as seeing O as a father figure.

Not quite the same as “everything O did for Aranda.”

He's probably just taking a trip with his friends. I think that if Coach O is going up there I'm 99.999999999% sure he'll lock it up.

I’m hoping that it’s Orgeron and the new O-line coach. Scott Long is saying this morning that a “staff “ member is making the trip to NYC. I really hope that is not the case.

The odds of Cregg pulling off his job with the Chargers to visit Traore today is very low.

I could see a phone call if that hasn't already happened.

You’re an idiot.

Plus, he’s visiting with one of his teammates.

Why he’s the assistant DL coach, you’re telling me the actual DL coach needs him that bad.
