(for the northshore) Dan Rather said it might get worse in spurts, but shouldn't increase in terms of hurricane winds. Just have to worry about the small bands/storms that pop up.

Yep. Most of ponchatoula has power. Reports of some outages a few blocks south of Hwy 22 close to where I am. Looks like we'll be getting some bad weather soon.

Yes, we still have power.....for now. I imagine a tree will take something out at some point today though.

Saw several transformers blowing in the distance early this morning while still dark. Lights flickered a couple times but haven't gone out yet.

No. Just hope and pray no more branches fall on my roof. Just replaced it in hurricane Katrina. Thanks for the offer. I will check here for updates.

I was just at the texaco on 22 @ Hoover and there open. Didn't nOtice if they had gas. You could call them. Carlos on airport rd usually has it but I don't know if they are open. Where are you?

Reporting from downtown Hammond and power is still on with slight wind. I got gas yesterday at the truck stop on 51 by the interstate.
