So Friends is a total loss in Madisonville? That sucks if true. My grandmother was born and raised in that house. It used to be off the riverfront but was moved to its current spot when it was turned into the restaurant.

My folks live in the back a couple streets off of Blue Crane #1. The view from Google maps distorts it a bit but the house is about 14' above sea level...
My mom said the water was highest a couple hours ago... Up to the sidewalk going horizontal between the natural area and the house. Said it's gone down a little bit now that the tide is going out or the wind has shifted - not sure which is affecting the most.
Will post pictures of deer and pelicans in yard as soon as she can upload them.

ive got some family that lives on golden pheasant. they got a good bit of damage during katrina. also have some family that lives on the lakeshore on the east side of I-10.
