The residents of the Sanctuary paid Hurricane Isaac not to come near it, so I would expect them not to have damage.

UPdate to STP Website, partially to add clarification to an earlier update:
quote:

Parish President Pat Brister, with the concurrence of Sheriff Jack Strain and Police Chiefs, is ordering a parish wide curfew from 6:00 PM to 6:00AM beginning tonight.

The Causeway Bridge is closed to all traffic.

Flood waters have reached Monroe Street in Mandeville, with a depth 11 inches in some areas. Monroe is impassable.

The 9-1-1 Center is reporting that the waters are rising quickly in Madisonville.

Clarification: Indian Village is located in eastern St. Tammany; Guste Island is in western St. Tammany. Law enforcement is checking the Guste Island report at this time.

There is a report of a water rescue taking place in Lewisburg Subdivision in Mandeville.

Water is rising on the east side of Lake Road in Lacombe, south of Evelyn, flowing swiftly to the west. Using Lake Road and the side roads in this area is not advised.

also.. if anyone knows of a gas station open anywhere in/near slidell, or within a reasonable driving distance, please advise. We need it to run a generator for medical equipment.

I saw the separate thread, but its pretty much dead.

There was station open on Pontchartrain Dr. earlier this morning when my dad and I drove that way to check on his house. Dont know if they have gas or not, but I noticed the pump nozzles werent covered like they normally are when they are out of fuel.

Edit - It was the RedFish Trading Co. station.

Open question to Madisonville folks:

South of 22 ( coming from Mandeville) before Perrilloux, what do you think that looks like?

Could you get there?
