John used to prep for the 10:00 news over a few suds and a pie at Fleur de Leis in the regular. Also spotted at the Thirsty Tiger on occasion, but that was more the hangout for all the newspaper guys.

Anybody in the Willow Lakes area? Old Jefferson/Highland/Hoo Shoo Too? Entergy map slow, slow, slow,on laptop and too small to see on iPhone. Have some friends in the AP without power trying to figure out if it would be good to make the move to Plan B. TIA.

Yeah, I always heard he would get plastered before going on air, show up drunk, but as soon as the camera light came on, he'd go through the broadcast like a boss.
