I'll drink on the porch thru the night. Unless it blows from the south I will stay dry. Wife is nervous. She ain't from south La.

Thankfully this isn't either. I am not in the middle of a pasture but have 40 acres of one behind me. I live in a remodeled 115 year old house on the front of 44 acres.

technically almost all of Ascension Parish is a flood zone according to the most recent maps.

My fiance is just one of those people that freaks out easily.

Seriously...she just asked if she should sleep in her clothes...just in case we have to evacuate in the middle of the night
