How often does South Korea get hit?

I was looking at the global tropical system map and it looks like South Korea just got hit with a Tropical Storm and another one is coming in 3 days...

Is this normal? I never hear about anything outside of the Atlantic Activity...

Yes the West Pacific basin is the most active tropical cyclone basin on the planet. The season is lasts from January 1 to December 31. Nations like China, Japan, and South Korea deal with storms literally year-round.

they are more prepared really. buildings are more wind rated imo.

The only hurricane to form in the south altantic ocean. Extremely rare.

seems like you hear about super typhoons a lot(major hurricanes in the western specific.) plus seems like they get really strong, upwards of 160+
