People forget they have a lot of mississippi residents and MS was hit pretty hard.

CR, ill tell my dad but just driving down highland and bluebonnet there are a lot of homes still out. Gotta think they know about this and are working on it.

I'm going to rage at the apartment complex if it is shut off when I arrive. Absolutely hit the fan after the text they sent me reporting no outage.

Closer to highland the lights looked like they were still off, but since you're closer to perkins there's a higher chance they could be on.

Call brew bachers and see is they pick up Seriously...

I will say this....Entergy is out there working their butts off now in the rain on BB at Perkins. Those assholes may be slow off the jump but they must have 15 people out there now.

Any chance those "assholes" aren't slow of the jump and were just working in a way you couldn't see?

I mean what seems more likely? That they were just being lazy or you don't know what you are talking about?

This.

It is ridiculous how people assume they have any knowledge of the energy grid unless they are in the industry. Everyone thinks their power should be on the minute it stops blowing outside. Get some perspective people.

Considering what your post history looks like the last 36 hours, you'll have to understand if no one can tell the difference

I think the moral of the story is that all electrical companies suck, monopolies suck, and competition would be better, though.

This is very irrelevant to storm restoration. Should "competition" exist in the electric industry, there still would be a single owner of the physical system, which is currently damaged. Besides, other states have attempted deregulation and failed miserably.

If you are concerned with overall rates, Entergy has announced a transition into a market that will maximize the most economic generation in the region beginning December 2013. Other utilities in the area intend to follow.

I've got no problems with Entergy but this sounds like a talking point a PR person would give out
