Is this any good and when should it be applied? Too late?

Yes it's good. I've had a lot of luck with YM products.

I've already applied my pre-emergent (weeks ago), but I'll let the H&G experts (ronk/Craw) chime in.

You know what, none of those links speak to my question concerning this specific product. But thank you for the response.

Thank you. So since it's a month late is that to say it would be useless/waste to use it now? Thanks again.

Are you located close to BR or Mandeville b/c you can buy the LESCO Stonewall Prodiamine granular pre-emergent for about 1/3 the cost, $24, at Site One Landscape Supply. Yes - Prodiamine is a good lawn pre-emergent.

Optimum application window was early/mid Oct, many winter weed seeds have germinated, but not all. You can apply it now, and it will likely be of some help, but your ROI won’t be as high.

I'm in LC. Looks like the closest one is in Lafayette.

It's cheaper if you buy it straight from Allyn's website.

You can check with Lowe’s - they carry LESCO Stonewall granular, 0.68% 0-0-7, 50 lb bag for $43 but not always in stock. I see it’s in stock at my nearby Lowes in BR - you might want to check a LC Lowes.

If you are new to using pre-emergents, do yourself a favor and apply it again in early/mid-Feb for spring/summer weed control.

I will definitely do that as I'm in a new home where the lawn needs some help. Not terrible, but needs some weed control.
