I finally got some crossfire for my Echo SRM 230. I was skeptical . Stuff is bad arse.Eats thru everything and doesn't shred or break off when hitting concrete like the other lines I've used.
Highly recommend.

That + the Echo head that lets you just thread it in and crank it makes the Echo the best weedeater out there

I’ve used the Black Diamond .105” on my dad’s FS240, it just gets destroyed. I was thinking it was just the high weeds I was going through. I used my FS90 with the Stihl trimmer line it came with, and got much more life out of it. Granted, I had to have a little more “finesse” with the smaller trimmer but it was a noticeable difference in restringing.

So I decided to order the Oregon Gatorline (square) to test it out vs the Black Diamond. Haven’t had a chance to run it yet, but it’s got great reviews.

I second this option. Have had great luck with it and I've tried several.

slight change of topic

Anyone use this for a Echo trimmer?
LINK

Have some stuff that the regular weedeater line would take a long time on

Hard to beat Oregon Gatorline. Sometimes it can be too tough- picks up rocks and hurls them into your shin. But we weedeat a lot of chain link fence around the ballpark, and it's the only thing I've found to hold up to it.

whatup boot. Sorry I haven't responded to your email lately, been busy as hell with this new business...

I ordered a couple different lines from the recs on here, gatorline being one of them. I went through a couple spools this weekend on 3 yard reclamations I did. Man... I see why a lot of dudes/companies won't take the neglected yards. I enjoy the hell out of it, but it's hard work and just eats through string and equipment
