Thanks... I think it's slowly taken over about half of my front yard. What's the best way to let it continue? About to do round 2 of the cleggs cocktails this weekend and then fertilize a few weeks later

cleggs cocktail is not for use on active (green) bermuda.

No Cleggs, as stated.
Mow as low as possible as often as possible. Feed .25 lb of nitrogen every two weeks.
Use straight 30-0-0 or 46-0-0.
If in doubt, Google “how to spoon feed Bermuda”
You have the best looking lawn on the block. The Bermuda with thicken and everything else will die off with the low cutting and frequent feedings.
But seriously, if you want it to takeoff cut it every 2-3 days minimum!
Letting it grow high will keep it thin.
Cutting low and frequent will make it thicken and spread out, not up.

What the alternative to the cleggs mix? The drought last summer has it in pretty bad shape. Can I just spot treat with it?

Fert the shite out of it and watch it run. You can use msm or celsius to control most weeds.

MSM Turf
$25-30 and will last for years.
Last year I grew a patch of Common Bermuda like yours from roughly 150 sq ft to about 1,000. I only fertilized once with 13-13-13 and I didn’t start until late July.
Enjoy the process! Heat and an inch of water per week is your friend.

Cool… I have some msm that I’ve used in the past later in the summer for VBW. I’ll spray it instead and fert soon

Is that .25lbs per 1000 sqft of yard??

I just grabbed 33-0-0… will that work?

These measurements are not set in stone, but generally, to be safe, don’t exceed 1.5 lbs per month per thousand. Bermuda can easily take 5 lbs a year.
If Ronk sees this, I’m curious as to how hard he’s pushed his Bermuda in the past.

I’m seeing folks on another forum pushing a pound a week
I might go spread some more tomorrow.
My first app was on 3/13 at around .46 per 1000

Ha, I’ve gone 46-0-0 at 4lbs per thousand 30 days apart. Because I mow every other day I could do it. If you miss a day or 2 because of rain you just soon reset hoc.

I totally missed this when I spread my first round a couple weeks back. I just did like 2 lbs for my whole front yard which is probably 5k sqft. I realize now, that .25 of 33.0.0 is more like .75-1 lb per 1000. I'll reapply this weekend hopefully.

2 lbs of product or 2 lbs of N?
How’s it looking in general? Have you started mowing short?

The Bermuda parts seem to be greening up nice and slowly starting tk spread. I’ve done 2 short cuts so far. I have a quite a few bald spots from last summer’s draught

Once our morning lows are consistently above 70° you’re not gonna believe how quick those spots will fill in. But yes, I’m already seeing some stolen coverage as well.
Here’s one of my little “Bermuda farms” where I’m sprigging to fill in a large bare spot.

2 lbs of product?! Yeah, you can act as if that never happened…
Does this look right?

Definitely not.... hopefully Sunday I can get down the right application.
ETA: Just downloaded that app too.
