What is up with my satsuma tree

If you’ve pruned lately, they are common. Or if you over fertilized

No pruning since early spring and no fertilizer since late spring. I'm assuming is stress related to heat and lack of rain. My tree also didn't produce any fruit this year, all buds dropped early on
