We have been wanting to cover our patio, however due to the design of the house it is going to be very expensive, and we have some other projects we want to do first.

We had been looking for some sort of temporary covering until we do it the right way.

After a bunch of looking I stumbled on this. It's more of a pergola, but with a solid roof. It also has a gutter system and drains on each corner.

It's 14x10 ft. It's made by a company called Palram.

We'll see how it holds up, but it seems pretty well built. All I have left to do is anchor it to the concrete.

Nice we have a similar setup on our back porch. I really want some sort of cover like this, but with the two story windows getting something there and not blocking the view is complicated.

Looks good

Looks good. Is the gazebo roof slopped back towards your house, or is that just the angle of the picture?

Just the angle. It is designed with about a 1" slope from the back to front

Nice man. We had a pool built and a contractor wanted a ton of money to build us a smaller shade structure so I built it instead. Think I have about $5,000 into it in the end and it's roughly 400 sq ft of shade. Sun goes down in the backyard that faces west and we were baking out in the sun.

I dig it. I'm in a similar boat with both of you. The back of my house is a U shape and I'm adding a pool just past the U. I used to have a big elm tree that was leaning and I removed it to make room for the pool anyway. I miss a shady area so I have a 12x14 slab area of concrete being added to the west side of the pool surround.

I have not found a set of plans for a pavilion that I like or that is straight forward. (I'm not exactly set up to cut mortise and tenon joints in 6x6s or 8x8s)
