Sprayed these weeds twice with Celsius and Certainty at max rate and saw no results on this particular weed. Meanwhile, the few spots with Dallisgrass were severely suppressed and I was able to pull it up.

Worker at site one told me crabgrass, but I’m not convinced since the herbicides I sprayed had no effect. Also it does not grow from a clump, it appears as if each blade is individual.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Grass is centipede.

Maybe southern water grass and if so then the only thing that will kill it will be glyphosate. And even at that it will take multiple spraying to wipe it out. Ask me how I know..

I feel like the closest match to what I'm seeing is Quackgrass, but it should have been knocked out by Certainty...

My first thought was "water grass"

I have that in spots in my yard that are less than ideal to support Centipede, St. Aug, or some variant of Zoysia. After years of spraying and battling it, I gave up. Unless I cut down trees, bring in soil, level certain spots, and install drainage in the swampy clay soil I have, nothing will change. I am relegated to fertilize and weed control where I can and roll with it.

No expert but looks like it's time to dethatch.

Rest of the yard is fine, and does not have a thatch layer like shown. Just the spot with this weed looks that way because it's so long.

Here’s a look at some longer ones that I pulled from my neighbors yard. This is where it originally spread from.

I was a little throwed off by the first picture. The leaves looked thicker and resembled Dallisgrass leaves but they weren't growing from a clump.

When you posted this picture I think you are dealing with nimblewill. Break out the glyphosate. You can use Tenacity if you have some.

Looks like crabgrass to me. If you have Bermuda I would try Quinclorac.

Looks like I drew a tough opponent. Tenacity should be here by the end of the week, I will update with results.

Thanks for the help

I applied Tenacity on 6/12. Here are the results so far. Definitely looks like it was in fact nimblewill like ronk suggested, as a high rate of Surepyc IQ also had no affect on it.
