They may scrap it but I doubt it. It’s a favorite for even a lot of professionals.

As an update, I did a power tool inventory after doing some research across all of your answers. Looking at most of the inherited tools from my grandpas and great grandpas, those older skil saws, Milwaukee, and craftsman are solid. Granted, they aren't for every day use, so them being heavier is not really an issue. For example, that heavy duty, Milwaukee sawzall is a beast heavy as all get out, but go through anything.

If you have a suggestion for any of the tools that I want or any tool that I'm missing, I'm all ears.

Want
-Corded Dewalt double bevel sliding 12" compound miter saw
-Corded Dewalt Thickness Planer
-XXX? Jointer
-XXX? Table Saw (Not sure if I am happy with a Contractor Table Saw or if I want - when I have the room - a Cabinet Table Saw
-Corded XXX? Hammer Drill
-Corded Skil HD77 Worm Drive Circular Saw

Have
-Corded Craftsman 13" Drill Press
-Corded 6" Craftsman/Atlas Metal Lathe
-Corded D28402 Dewalt angle grinder
-Corded Skil Saw 5250 7 –1/4"Circular Saw
-Corded Milwaukee HD 53-155879 Sawzall
-Corded Milwaukee Portable Bandsaw
-Corded Dewalt Trim and Plunge Router
-Bosch RA1171 Router Table
-porter cable 4212 Dovetail jig
-Corded Craftsman 315.10700 5/8 inch Variable Speed Sabre Saw
-Corded XXX? XX" Band Saw
-Corded Craftsman Jointer
-Corded Central Machinery? Belt & Disc sander
-Corded Dewalt D26451 Random Orbital & D26441 1/4" Sheet Palm Sanders
-Corded SKIL 7510 belt sander
-Corded Rockwell RK5132K multitool
-Corded Sears 3/8 inch electric drill
-Corded DeWalt DW 23 6 1/2 inch VSR drill
-Corded Sears 1/2 inch drill, variable speed reversible
-Corded Black and Decker Mega Mouse MS700 sander
-Craftsman 1647, 126 gallon air compressor
-Lincoln Electric Pro-Core 100 MIG/Wire Feed Welder
-Cordless Milwaukee M18 1/4" Hex Impact Driver
-Cordless Milwaukee M18 1/2" Drill/Driver
-Cordless Dewalt DC759 1/2" Drill/Driver
-Cordless Dewalt DC970 1/2" Drill/Driver

Corded XXX? Hammer Drill

Rotary hammer or a drill/driver with a hammer function? Just get a good Bosch SDS+.

XXX? Jointer

Cutech 8", cast iron version.

Corded Dewalt Trim and Plunge Router

Should have multiple routers, maybe get a Dewalt or Milwaukee cordless trim router, Bosch 1617 EVS, then a big Milwaukee or Triton 15A to put in a router table.

Could always use a few more angle grinders, 5" through 7" models. Laser levels? I have Dewalt 3-axis and a Bosch rotary. Regular levels? I have Empire and Stabila from torpedo to 6'. Jig saw? I have a Bosch JS470E that is solid. I have more tools than storage space right now, I basically have everything to the point that I have long since told friends and family not to try gifting me tools as chances are I'll already have it... I'm basically down to upgrading existing tools to better versions or buying specialized tools for projects.

I'm one 20x40 shop away from being all set!

I never thought about that. My dremel crapped out and I loosely wanted to replace it. I also had the need for a die grinder about a year ago, and talked myself out of buying one. I could find a use for multiple sized grinders and some die grinders ha.

Laser levels?

I have a project coming up where I need to finish putting up some french cleats. I'll look into those.

Solid stuff. Thanks for the suggestions.

Do you have 220v available?

That will determine whether you can have a cabinet saw or a work site saw.

Both my table saw and jointer (powermatic 8”) are 220v.

Good point. I currently do not have 220 set up in the garage. But solid point when I make that decision.

I saw you have a welder already, I don't think I've done one welding project where I didn't have at least two or three angle grinders with me. Cut-off disc, hard grinding wheel, and a flap disc...just easier to have them ready vs swapping discs. Also, depressed-center cutting wheels on a good 5" grinder are the way to go. Also, Evolution chop saw, I'm probably going to get the S15CPS when I start my gate project this Fall.
