True, mine is 12000. Salt. Timer set to run 2 hours at nite
2 hours?
Mine is 18k and I run my filter 12 hours at night, salt system set to 50%.

Is it an electrical cut off only?
Not related to low suction side intake? Your Skimmers have water, not sucking air? Pentair pumps will shutoff if they can’t be fed properly and sense air
On the topic of schedules, you can run what you want but have a purpose. Newer Vsp use very little energy to run low.
I run 24-7 at 1200 rpm. I like the water to be moving, I always like to be skimming keeps the litter going into the basket and not sinking to the bottom. This makes it to where I only run my robot 1-2 times per week.
Second reason is my SWG will
Be functional at 1200 rpm. So I’m always making chlorine, this allows me to have a very evenly maintained chemistry, and virtually no problems with algae. I target a FC 6-9 with a CYA 70-80. These are recommended targets from TFP. They are money.
My schedule bumps up to 2700rpm twice per day mid morning and evening to really circulate the water around and move any larger debris that is caught in a corner into the skimmer.

This may be it. I added water yesterday, and it has been running. Let's see.

Agree. You need turnover your water volume twice per day for proper filtering.

All of this right here

That’s a myth. You need to run the filter pump enough to keep the water clean, that’s it. It could be less than double or more, depending on the pool.

Keeps mine perfectly clean but to each their own. It's a general guide, sheesh.

Agreed. Keep your chlorine level appropriate for CYA and run the filter only as much as needed. Mine is 25k gallons, not salt. Pump runs 4 hrs 2-6am. Electricity is cheaper then.
