Does anyone have experience with T-Mobile's at home internet? Their offer sounds too good to be true.

good reddit sub about it. i just ordered a few days ago i'll update with my experience. it's only $25 if you have a tmo cell line, but it's much cheaper than traditional providers either way.

eta: i scheduled cable to be cancelled in a couple weeks to give me time to try it out with youtube tv. i also added a hotspot for $10 for unlimited internet. figured it would be useful for travel.

This is my only option and 99% of the time it works great. I normally get 100+ download speeds. It depends on how close you are to a tower.

I have it and get 60 mbps down and 15 up. No other internet options. It's a life saver, can't do anything that requires low ping, though. Everything else is fine and stable.

T-Mobile 5G coverage maps are pure fantasy, so unless you get reliable 5G speed indoors at your place using a T-Mobile phone, the internet service probably won't work.

T-Mobile Internet support was the most frustrating, ignorant, non-native English speaking clusterfrick I've encountered.

Think carefully about whether you want to deal with that.

==========

ETA: on the plus side, T-Mobile is building and upgrading a lot of 5G towers so this could become the best alternative for a lot of rural areas.

It is inconsistent but it is good enough to keep me under my cox data caps. I am dropping the $50 add on for unlimited from cox and I put all my kids devices and tv's on the tmobile wifi.

I need to figure a way to work it into my mesh system and make it as a true back up but I guess I will figure that out later.

I get about 35/3 which is plenty fast for us but it drags during peak times but will jump to 100+ during slow times. On my phone I will get 200+ download speeds in the same spot on t mobile, they clearly are giving priority to mobile devices.

The only way to use t mobile support is t-force on twitter. US based support through messaging. You can link your tmobile account. It is the ONLY reason I actually signed up for twitter.
