Just signed up with them on my new home on 12/20 and we did everything on the phone. No inspections

It may be a legal right, but it seems pretty shady to write a policy site unseen and then come back 2 months later and cancel the coverage.

I had to replace knob and tube wiring and get a new water heater for USAA to cover me. Can’t remember if they sent an inspector or if I just told them about the wiring and the age of the water heater.

I've had USAA for over 20 years and several houses. They've never done an inspection (to my knowledge). I've been in my current house 6 years (it was built in the early 90s), I don't know how old the roof was when I moved in, but after a hailstorm, they paid for a full replacement.

Bought a dump home and USAA never came to inspect. Everything done over the phone. Filed a roof claim 6 months later with no problems. I have ungrounded outlets, foundation problems, old pipes, etc. They are great with my auto too.

I have had USAA for 20 years. They didn't do an inspection when we moved and they still paid for a new roof after hail.
